Joke criticism: In my opinion, the punchline “porcupines have pricks on the outside” is funnier because it forces the reader or listener to alter their perspective and discover the “pricks on the inside” for themselves.
(That was so not who I am. I apologize. I’m from Canada. I got it second-hand. I don’t drive it much, but I do wash it a lot, and I’m not really a jerk.
However, it all depends on where you live. Where I live, it’s uncommon to see a BMW driven by a jerk; those are all elderly people. All jerks purchase Subarus here.
