Although the new M8 may be among the quickest and most competent BMW cars ever made, true devotees will never accept the original E31 8 Series as a replacement. The 850CSi, which has the ultra-rare S70B56 V12 engine, is the vehicle at the top of the line. Twelve cylinders, six gears, three pedals, 375 horsepower at 5,300 rpm, and 406 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. The 850CSi is one of the most sought-after BMWs ever made, and it’s easy to understand why given that it embodies a nearly ideal amalgam of the qualities that aficionados look for in a car.
Only 225 of the total 1,510 850CSi units were shipped to the United States, which is a very small percentage. According to reports, BMW produced about the same number of S70B56 V12 engines, making almost every aspect of the penultimate E31 8 Series uncommon and expensive. At least a few 850CSIs and other 8 Series vehicles received the BMW Individual treatment because they were BMW’s top-of-the-line model in the 1990s, allowing discerning customers access to unusual, distinctive colors usually reserved for other models.
One of them was the 1995 BMW 850CSi that was sold on Cars & Bids for $143,000 ($147,500 with buyer’s premium). It was finished in Daytona Violet over a Lotus White and Daytona Violet interior. An already rare model—one of the rarest BMWs ever produced—is made unique with the BMW Individual standard. The E34 M5 and E36 M3 both had Daytona Violet available at the same time, although the Eight required ordering through BMW Individual.
Daytona Violet Individual Color for the BMW M4
What appears to be the first BMW M4 in Individual Color Daytona Violet was ordered by BMW Portland. The stunning shade of violet originally appeared on the E36 M3, and it was inspired by the illustrious race and race track in Daytona, Florida, which this weekend will host the famed 24 Hours of Daytona and see the launch of BMW’s new M6 GTLM.
Initial dealer images show a violet interior with a white leather inside.
Customers can choose from a wider range of external and interior colors with the BMW Individual program. This enables your BMW to stand out a little bit from every other Bimmer you see on the road.
Nearly every Individual BMW is distinctive and unusual thanks to these additional levels of customisation. For very well-liked vehicles like the M4, this technique does fairly well. This will make your personalised Individual M4 stand out from the sea of M4s cruising around your town if you decide to get one. Isn’t the whole point of purchasing an M4 so that it stands out from the crowd?
