You won’t have a cigaret-lighter outlet where you can draw electricity for your laserwarner if you uninstall the smokers package. If I recall properly, it is replaced by a coin holder, a small container where you may store parking money.
Smokers package was a standard feature on the E46 M3 in the US. Only the ashtray itself (front and back) was changed with the “non-smokers kit.” The lighter is still there. In 2002, the price was $20 up front and $32 in back. I bet the E92 has a comparable feature.
If a non-arrangement smoker’s was the norm, that would be excellent. Why isn’t that setup optional as opposed to normal since I’m convinced that fewer than 50% of customers smoke? In my car, I would never let eating or smoking.

It’s not a major issue. You have a 12 volt source in the armrest, and I placed an extension cord under the floor mat on my 335 Coupe so I could connect my Garmin navigation system.

I mistakenly believed that the “Smokers Package,” which also included a lifetime membership to the tire club, was just another term for Launch Control and came standard on whatever vehicle Ashok would order.
Even if you don’t smoke, I would still advise you to get the smokers pack. This is due to the fact that you receive additional 12v plugs and the ashtrays are actually better for storing items than the cubby holes that their non-smoking counterparts have in place of them.
