My 2011 d had an oil change and DEF filling at 4600 miles. Age, not mileage, was the cause of the service at that time (I purchased the car new about 6 months after it was built). I received a notice stating that I need an oil change at 8000 miles. Isn’t that much too soon? I believed the maintenance window to be between 10,000 and 12,000 miles.
When I called the dealership, the SA informed me that these messages depend on the weather and gasoline usage. My gasoline usage is not out of the ordinary. What is happening?

Get a brake fluid flush; you appear to also need one. I’m not sure how much detail iDrive gives you compared to when the dealer reads the CBS information on the key fob, so there could be more the car is asking for.

In the US, an item like brakes or oil or whatever typically appears on our automobiles in yellow and turns red if it is past time. Red triangles seem to indicate that more than a checkup is required.

Really, you didn’t just swap out two pads, did you? On the automobile, there are 8. Two in the left front, two in the right front, two in the left rear, and two in the right rear. Did you only swap out a corner? that is, the front right.
Regardless, did you also replace the sensor when you changed the entire front or rear brake pad set?
Check your brake fluid as well because low brake fluid also triggers alerts. It is in the engine compartment, hidden behind a cover.
