What Does BMW Lighting Package Include?

I apologize if this question has already been asked, but what precisely does the Lighting Package include? Exists a clear aesthetic difference?

Older postings said that you needed the package in order to obtain the traditional angel eyes, however others claim that the 435i already has them?

In a way, I’m in the same situation as you. I would only get the lighting bundle for aesthetic reasons. Do you know of any photos that compare a f32 with and without the lighting kit side by side?

Since it already has angel eyes, I couldn’t justify paying so much for the LED main lights.

The F30 335i has good HIDs and lovely, brilliant Angel Eyes. Although it is a very pricey choice, it might be if the cost were only a few hundred. In contrast to the image above, it is difficult to tell which automobiles have LEDs and which have regular HIDs.

Consequently, they essentially have the same shape and design, with the exception that the HIDs use projectors that are still in use today, while the LEDs use small rectangular led bulbs for the headlights and side markers.

I own an F32 that is equipped with the adaptive LED lighting package. Driving at night in a HID vs. LED vehicle will provide you noticeably better lighting.

The LED package from BMW comprises of a number of LED lights that cooperate to ensure that the road is adequately illuminated. While there is only one light source on each side of the automobile with HIDs, there are several sources with LEDs, and they all move independently in response to steering input.

Although most people won’t find this sufficient to justify the price, I truly like the LEDs. Not to mention, they have a lovely appearance at night.

The brighter lights on my F32 are good, but what I appreciate best is that at night you can tell it has the package because all four pods light up, not just the outside ones. Additionally, the halogen lamps in the xenon lights turn on while cornering or reversing, which makes them look odd.

I’m trying to decide whether the adaptive LED headlights are worth the extra $1000 because we’re acquiring a new BMW 4 Gran Coupe. This is because our ability to obtain leather chairs would be limited. LED headlights and LED fog lights are already listed when I examine the basic included choices. Not at all the adaptive ofc. Are the aesthetics different? Considering how much I adore the BMW 4 with its gorgeous blue (particularly at night) LED angel lights.

If I didn’t choose that pricey option, which turns out to have headlights that look like those unsightly, subpar bmw 3 headlights (when they don’t have the improved lights), I’d be kicked out.

This is a lease vehicle, and as I previously mentioned, it already has LED headlights and LED fog lights listed under the basic standard options.

I’m new to this platform, so I apologize if I put anything incorrectly or inappropriately.

I’m wondering if it alters the appearance of the lights overall or just the adaptable component.

Okay, I feel the need to submit this because I have seen enough threads debating the lighting package and the misunderstanding of what the differences between the 3 and the 4 series represent. Particularly, I’m sick of folks chiming in on 4 series discussions to complain about how awful the car would look without the “lighting package.”

So let’s begin:

The lighting package for the 3 series and the 4 series differs despite having the same name.

The lighting package now refers to the switch from Halogen to Xenon headlights for the 3 series model of vehicles. Many members of this forum view this as a necessary upgrade. This has led to misunderstanding in 4 series posts, particularly in threads that ask for “help with build before I order.”

The lighting package for the 4 series line of vehicles also includes LED headlights, which are not yet available for the 3 series. Xenon lights are standard equipment on all 4 series vehicles. This package is often seen as being a waste of money and is significantly more expensive than the 3 series lighting kit.

Vehicle information

The 320, 328, 328d, and 328 wagon all come with the 3 series lighting kit as an option. The 335i and Active Hybrid both come standard with it.

On all 4 series vehicles, the lighting package is an option. Again, Xenons are included in all versions.

a few images

On a 6 series, Xenon against LED. On a 4 series, I can’t seem to locate a decent photo comparison.

New BMW X5 lighting package

BMW revealed the third-generation of the X5, their best-selling SUV, earlier this week.

Production of the F15 X5 began in August 2013 at the Spartanburg factory in South Carolina. Production of the xDrive35d model begins in December 2013, and deliveries are anticipated to begin in 2014. In September, dealerships will start to receive the other two U.S. versions, the xDrive28i and xDrive35i (or sDrive35i).

Pre-configured packages and lines, which were first provided with the new 1 and 3 Series models, will now be available for the X5, starting with the Luxury Line (ZLL), xLine (ZXD), and concluding with the M Sport Package. A special car key and exclusive Line-specific 19″ wheels (with an option to upgrade to 20″ wheels) are also included with the Luxury Line and xLine models. Additionally, the M Sport Package model receives a unique key fob.

The new X5 absolutely shines inside, in my opinion. BMW has modernized the interior to new levels of luxury and gadgetry while keeping the driving-focused cockpit and sportiness.

The Lighting Package is one of the innovative and exciting new technologies offered for the BMW X5. With nine pre-defined lighting designs, this new bundle delivers ambient light designs in three different colors. The dashboard, doors, and footwells all have a distinctive glow thanks to these interior ambient lights.

Orange, white, and blue serve as the foundational colors, which are then followed by a blend of these three serene hues.

The engine produces all 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, which makes entering and passing on highways a breeze. The pleasure can be started with just a simple touch of the accelerator. Additionally, the turbocharger keeps the torque excellent even at low engine rpm. With its wider gear range, the optional 8-speed Sport automatic transmission improves performance and efficiency.

The inside of the X5 makes a statement with every element. A sea of light enters the X5 through the Panorama glass roof Sky lounge, and ambient lighting modifies evening lighting conditions to create an even greater environment. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System practically ensures the entertainment of the entire cabin, while the Ambient Air Package, which is optional, offers four natural aromas that will comfort even more senses.

Along with its opulent interiors, the X5 includes a number of thoughtfully created utility features. With the Comfort Access feature, the split tailgate’s upper and lower pieces in the luggage compartment open and close electronically.
