What do the BMW model numbers mean, in general?
Finding the most fundamental details about your model is rather simple. You only need to glance at the rear of your vehicle:

The last two numerals in a model name refer to the engine, and the first digit, “3,” refers for the series (in this example, 3 Series). When pushed hard, the car seems completely secure and has fantastic handling, but I do miss the slightly inspired quality that my former car of 14 years, an Alfa 156, had when being tossed around curves.
Everything in the car appears to be in its proper place, and the controls and entertainment system are all simple to operate. The car is well-equipped. I adore the (optional) head-up display, especially because it allows me to see my speed and sat-nav directions without taking my eyes off the road. Not sure about the voice activation because it only functions partially. I tried speaking with a German accent to see if that would help, but it didn’t. However, I have never needed it before, and I am able to get by without it.
On lengthy runs, I frequently average 55-57 mpg, and I currently average 47 mpg overall, including some rather heavy city traffic, which seems reasonable to me.
