I wanted Tanzanite, Carbon Black, or Dravit Grey when looking for my X5. The manner that each hue varies under various lighting conditions, in my opinion, really demonstrates the G05’s assertiveness.
I chose Dravit Grey and adore it, but I would have been content with any of the three.
The last three BMWs were white. Tired of social conformity, I recently purchased a Flamenco Red automobile, which looks 20 times better in person than it does on the build app.
It has to fit your wants, needs, and style, much like with apparel, watches, jewelry, and life partners (being socially acceptable here…wouldn’t want to be cancelled).
I normally purchase silver automobiles since they conceal dents nicely. I chose Arctic Grey because there was no luck with silver on newer BMWs unless you were looking for an X5M in Doningting Grey. After 1.5 years of ownership, the Phytonic Blue Metallic X3 owned by my folks has mild scratches and swirl marks. The Arctic Grey will likely exhibit similar swirls and minor scratches with ease. Prior to stopping at a light where 5 of the 9 cars were white or white metallic, I had considered Mineral White Metallic. However, the fact that white is the most noticeable car color on a highway (if you know what I mean) put an end to that idea.
There’s a reason why BMW selected Mineral White Metallic for their marketing materials when they unveiled the G05 back in 2019.
I have a thing for blue. Tanzanite Blue is my favorite, but I wouldn’t spend the extra $5,000 on it. Phytonic Blue, which I also love, was chosen.
Aside from those two blues, I also greatly like Lime Rock Gray and Nardo. An excellent blacked-out LRG is available from njnets21.
Agree! And the 2022 X5 website is sporting Mineral White nicely. Oh, those 22″ wheels are a huge assistance.
My MW from 2016 at dusk. In my opinion, the metallic really complements the design of the car in certain lighting conditions. I’ll probably order my next one from MW once more.
On the X5, Tanzanite is not a discrete color option. Both the X5 M50i and X5 M support it.
My preference is for the BSM, which is what our G05 and G07 both have. But as most people will agree, maintaining its beautiful looks requires a lot of work. Simply put, not everyone can handle the maintenance.
I’ve ALWAYS driven white cars. I purchased a CB F25 and a BSM F15; never again. I’ll continue to drive white vehicles. ONLY because I’m far too lazy to follow black. Though I’ve never been a fan of “colored” cars. Although I like to look at them, I could never possess one.
I’m having trouble deciding what color I want. I so decided to poll the community and simply purchase the item that received the most votes. LOL I suppose I’m a strange person.
I have to choose between these two options:

- Metallic White (with luxury package aka chrome)
- Diamond Black
- Diamond Black (with luxury package aka chrome)

I must admit that for a time, I wasn’t a fan of mineral white, but I recently purchased a mineral white 4GC and I constantly receive praises on it. especially with the sport line’s contrasting mirror caps and bimmerangs. I can’t think of any other color I would have selected over mineral white, but if I could have obtained estoril blue, I would have done so.
As your interior is Dark Oyster with Black Dakota, I’d say Sapphire Black. Unless the interior was black or red, it was mineral white. The interior has a nice contrast thanks to the Sapphire Black.
MW appears unclean in my perspective. One was rolling down the road when I saw it, and from some angles, it almost looked tan. However, no matter how capricious you are, black will become dirty right away after being cleaned.
If you live in California, choose white, just like every other 3 series driver there. However, if you want to stand out a little, choose something different like frozen gray (which is more expensive) or even brown.
If you don’t have a habit of washing your car every other day, I wouldn’t recommend either black or white.
In actuality, I will state that white is far better at concealing dirt than black because I have owned several black cars. Despite what you would assume, it does.
Silver or gold appear to be the ideal colors if you’re concerned about dirt showing, but those hues look awful on practically every car, and aside from a very small number of circumstances, I would never drive one.
As many people have said, blue, red, or grey would be nice and unique, but in your poll, I selected white. I understand the irony coming from someone who owns a black car, but I didn’t get to choose the color, and since I now own black, it will probably be my first and last black car because they never stay clean.
