I adore my 2008 X5 E70 3.0, which I now own. With leather, heated seats and a steering wheel, it is really comfy. I’ve only had a few problems driving it, which has over 150k miles on it. A failing water pump at 140k miles (costing about $1400 to fix), a few engine oil leaks, and a failed coolant reservoir are the problems.
dislikes: The inadequate backup lights. To make improvements, I put in backups and LED tags, but it’s still challenging to see at night. My doesn’t have a backup camera. About the only thing I don’t like is this. I genuinely adore this vehicle.
It had 90k+ miles when I bought it from a BMW dealer, and for the money I paid and the level of luxury it offers, it has been a good value.
