SHADOW EDITIONS FOR THE BMW 1 & 3 SERIES
BMW’s new 1 and 3-Series package represents a turn toward the dark side. The new facelift is an even more edgy take on the compact and mid-size BMW mainstays, adorning both with the M-Sport badge and casting some shade with the Shadow Edition trim.
The new M-Sport Shadow Edition provides a darkened backdrop to the BMW 1 and 3 Series specifications, allowing its characteristics to look even more conspicuous. It is effortlessly elegant but packs a powerful performance punch. The new Shadow Edition is a ghost on the roadway thanks to its dark headlight housing, High-gloss Black Kidney Grille, 19″ M light alloy wheels, Dark Chrome exhaust tailpipes (18″ on the 1-Series), black side mirrors, and High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim.
Additionally, the 1-Series will gain from a completely new dashboard design and improved specifications, including Servotronic; light, responsive, and controlled steering, for an even more effortless handle on BMW power. Along with Servotronic, LED headlights and foglights will come standard on the 3-Series, and the instrument panel has been redesigned with ornamental stitching. The BMW M-Sport Shadow version is a celebration of dark vs. light, warm vs. cool, performance vs. presence; it just transcends every tone. It has additional ambient lighting that can be switched between BMW Classic Orange and Cold White LED.

Which vehicles are offered with the Shadow Edition?
From July 2017 through June 2019, the M Sport Shadow Edition trim was offered on the second-generation BMW 1 Series and the sixth-generation BMW 3 Series. These cars had distinctive, sporty features including a black Kidney Grille and exclusive M light alloy wheels. Additionally, their upgraded equipment level includes M sport braking system, harman/kardon audio system, and sun protection glass.

Anyone who has watched a professional boxing match has probably seen a fighter enter the ring and quickly pound the air or shadow box. Shadowboxing is essentially sparring with a fictitious opponent, usually in front of a mirror. It is a crucial component of training since it improves speed, spatial awareness, and form. A boxer may warm up their muscles for a bout in one of the oldest and purest ways possible by doing this, and it also looks quite awesome. Even though it shares certain similarities, I’ve now learned that the BMW M140i Shadow Edition is something entirely different—or perhaps not.
The Shadow Edition is a top contender internationally. It’s a global initiative that BMW NZ has embraced, and it’s clear that this vehicle has hidden talents. With the BMW M140i serving as its foundation (surely not a bad place to start), the Shadow Edition gives this well-liked hyper-hatch a menacing air.
What distinguishes the BMW Shadow Edition from other models?
Three new limited-edition models have been added to the lineup, and BMW has announced a number of enhancements for the 1 Series, including minor inside and exterior style changes. In July, the updated and new 1 Series will go on sale.
Only the three new special edition models—the Edition Sport Line Shadow, Edition M Sport Shadow, and BMW M140i Edition Shadow—will receive the external style updates. These “Shadow” cars don’t have any new panels, but they stand out thanks to their black Kidney grille frames, as well as their smokey, darker LED taillights and black inserts in their LED headlights. On these vehicles, the exhaust tips are also tinted black, and the body is available in two new paint finishes: Seaside Blue and Sunset Orange.
New alloy wheel styles are also added to the Shadow automobiles. While M Sport and the M140i Shadow variants get larger 18-inch designs, the Sport Line Shadow 1 Series comes standard with special 17-inch light alloy wheels. There are five new alloy wheel styles available across the range in 17-inch and 18-inch widths.
The interior changes are more obvious and will be present in all 1 Series vehicles, not just the Shadow models. A new gloss-black casing for the controls on the center console is complemented by a revamped instrument binnacle with a black surface. Redesigned air vents, a sliding cover for the cupholder, and chrome trim for the window buttons are some further small changes. Additionally, new interior trim options are included.
The major advancement in cabin technology is an updated infotainment system with the most recent iDrive system, which has a touchpad built into the controller and a redesigned user interface. Voice controls are available on an 8.8-inch touchscreen display for those who specify the Professional navigation system.
New connectivity features are included in the 2017 1 Series updates as well. The 1 Series has access to real-time traffic and on-street parking data thanks to BMW ConnectedDrive services. The bundle also includes Microsoft Exchange for emails, calendars, and contacts.

If you’ve never played the series before, The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition is a collection of games that still holds up well today. There’s a lot to enjoy about this bundle because all seasons are included and the new shadows mode highlights everything that made the series popular in the first place.
What is contained in the BMW Shadow Edition?
The Edition M Sport Shadow version has LED fog lamps, black bumper inserts, black kidney grilles, exhausts finished in Chrome Black, and black headlamp and brakelight clusters. Optional sporty 19-inch alloy wheels with Orbit Grey finishes are offered.

Wider, more grippy tires, distinctive wheels, well-bolstered sport seats, and improved brake pad compositions are among features that BMW adds to its M automobiles. The M5 features a carbon fiber roof, while the M4 also gets a carbon fiber trunk lid and engine brace. Numerous metal parts have been replaced with carbon fiber equivalents.
The M adaptive suspension, differentials, and AWD systems are still being adjusted by BMW experts. Additionally, drivers have much greater control over the engine, transmission, suspension, and driving modes in M cars than in M Performance vehicles.

Great tales are the foundation of Telltale games. Early debates over whether to create a “noir” version of the games focused on whether to turn everything black and white or to leave some things in color. We made the decision that adding some color would enable us to both highlight specific sensory moments and create stories using color in a manner that the previous game was unable to.
The desaturation post-process that was swiftly applied did not create Shadows Edition. A small team of veteran and up-and-coming Telltale artists set out to treat hundreds of texture, lighting, and visual effects pieces in order to provide a fresh way to experience Telltale’s interpretation of the Batman story. This gave us the freedom to choose carefully which game features would emphasize the narrative and ideas by using color.
The objective was to produce a stylized version of Batman: The Telltale Series that remained respectful of the original developers’ creative vision while also expanding it to meet the tone and setting of Batman. The decision is always up to the players, who can choose to view Bruce Wayne’s turbulent metropolis of Gotham in “black and white” or in its original, vibrant form.
One of the more significant occasions where color is permitted to depict a man’s progression toward lunacy is the evolution of the Joker. Arkham is first seen, with a faint purple and green hinting that something horrible awaits inside, before the Joker even enters the screen. Over the course of the two seasons, Joker fully develops. He only has color in his eyes and hair when you first meet him. But as you go along and he heads towards crazy, other variants get a little bit more colorful. At the conclusion, the clown prince of crime is almost fully colored as a result of his madness infecting both himself and the world around him.
Bruce Wayne and Batman, in contrast, are always shown in black and white. Batman continues to be the menacing guardian of Gotham, his unmodified colors linking him to the city he protects, while the villains wear annoying colors linked to their personalities.

Which BMW 1 Series is the fastest?
There are two petrol engines and three diesel engines to select from, the most of which are available with either an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment or a six-speed manual transmission as an option.

The 120d’s 2.0-liter engine, which generates 187 horsepower, is the most potent diesel engine. With its built-in four-wheel drive, this vehicle can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour in just seven seconds flat.
The M135i, the quickest 1 Series in the lineup, can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds, outpacing the Volkswagen Golf R. It has a 302 horsepower 2.0-liter engine and comes standard with four-wheel drive. If you choose the 128ti, 0-62 mph will be reached in 6.2 seconds.
