BMW drivers may park their car in a dark area without worrying about a collision or unintentional damage thanks to parking lights. They continue to be on, forming a circle of light around the vehicle to draw attention to Your BMW from other cars. After parking, shut off the engine, take the key fob out, and unlock the driver’s door. Only after the driver’s door has been opened will the external lamps turn on. To finish their activation, raise the control stalk on the steering wheel. The center of the driver’s information cluster should display an illuminated “P” to show that the parking lights are on. Press the stalk in the opposite direction to turn them off. Only one side of the car will have lights on. On the passenger side, the stalk can be pressed downward to turn them on.
First scroll the stalk lever down to the lock icon on the 2019 BMW to switch off the parking lights. Identify the sun-shaped button. then choose off at the stalk’s end.

I’ve been attempting to figure out how to turn off the parking lights in my 2014 f30, people. The yellow parking lights are always on despite the fact that I replaced the stock bulbs with white ones, giving the lights a weird appearance. How can the side yellow lights be turned off, too? not the ones on the car’s side, but the ones in the headlamp housing?
Parking lights with the designation 64132 are shown in the image. They are the ones I’m attempting to silence. The yellow side lights are visible in the second image, but they are not there in the third. Any help?
The yellow parking lights are always on despite the fact that I replaced the stock bulbs with white ones, giving the lights a weird appearance.
I agree; I detest having a strange appearance. I made an attempt to employ switchback LEDs to give the side marker an all-white appearance while on at night; however, they change to amber when turning. Unfortunately, the quality of the switchback LEDs is still lacking, and the amber light is not bright enough to be regarded safe.
In any case, to address your second query, you can use the following options to disable the side markers while using low beams (while the blinker is still on):
Why are the parking lights still yellow after switching to a whiter bulb? What you mean when you say they are always on is unclear. They ought to only be activated while using low beams. In any case, I doubt that you could disable the tiny parking lamps using code. If you don’t like the bulbs, I believe you should just remove them.
Thanks for your assistance, gentlemen! The parking lights, how about them? Do I also need to code those out? Or is it possible to disable those? the ones in the picture marked “64132 parking lights”? My car is leased, so I’m not confident in my ability to code it. Thanks!
We can check the parking’s resistance by installing a resistor as a substitute.

Is only the left or right side lit? The “parking light” or “standing light” feature on BMW vehicles is real. This is designed to be used while parking along the side of a road and lighting the side closest to the roadway. The parking and taillight on the left or right side of the F10 (and E90) will turn on after the vehicle has been turned off if the turn signal lever is moved to the left or right “on” position. The lights will often turn off when the lever is adjusted to the off position. Could you have moved the turn signal lever by accident when exiting the car? Regarding the hour, you may use a timer to make sure you don’t drain the battery. I’m not sure what that may be if the car’s sides are lit.

On a BMW 330i, how do you turn off the parking lights?
I was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the parking lights on a 2008 e90 335i pre-lci so that only the angel eyes would illuminate. Does anyone know how to perform this in the car’s stalk settings? If so, would you mind sending me a link or some guidelines?
I had the same question in my head. Only the parking and angel eyes, which appear to be related in some way, were turned off.
1. Move the stalk lever down one position until you see the lock icon and end-push button set.
2. Continue scrolling down until you see the sun with its daylight running lighting on.
3. After selecting off, push the button at the end of the stalk.

Thanks… The angel eyes are now off instead of the parking lights after I managed to switch off the parking lights.
How do I switch off my parking lights?
Parking lights are typically built into the headlight switch on automobiles. With one flick between fully off and on, your car’s headlight dial may be used to turn on and off your parking lights.
On a BMW, where is the parking light?
- Look under the protective cover on the top of the headlight assembly for the parking light, which is there.
- Remove the cover by turning it counterclockwise.
- It is the parking light.
- underneath the cover, the first bulb. It must be carefully grasped and removed from the headlamp assembly.
- Gently insert the bulb and twirl it until the plug comes out to remove it.
- Simply reverse the procedure to replace a bulb, and there you are!
You must be careful not to touch the new bulb with bare hands as this could transmit skin oil and produce an overheating situation. Check your instrument cluster after the replacement, and the problem message should no longer be present. Try it if you are sure in your technical ability; otherwise, contact xenons4u online.

Why do the lights in my BMW stay on?
I have no idea why sometimes my headlights seem to stay on after I get out of the car. The lights occasionally stay on, which is far more frequently than I would expect considering the obvious lack of an engine. During the night when they are awake, my neighbors have contacted me a few times.
What might be the root of this? The keys are taken out of the vehicle when I depart since I keep them in my pocket while I drive.
Is the key close enough to the car when it is parked at home to “wake” it up? The lights are always on when I glance at my car in the garage, but that’s only because it activates when the key is nearby. It is set to automatically unlock. It’s always off when I check it without the key in my pocket.
After you’ve locked the doors and stepped out of the car, the lights continue to be on for a while. Headlight courtesy delay feature is how BMW refers to it.
We discovered that the headlights and interior LED lights would stay on for a long period if the driver door was opened before the car was turned off. To see if it helps, try making sure to shut off the engine before opening the driver door.
My machine is programmed to do this, and in the dark garage, it is always on a delay off.
How do you activate the parking lights?
Modern cars typically include light switches that are either positioned on the dashboard, on the steering wheel’s right side, or at the end of the indicator stalk.
Turning the dial to the proper position will turn on and off your parking lights.
There will be switches or buttons for your headlights, sidelights, and typically a separate position for your fog lights.
Although it’s not common, some car models permit the driver to use their indication while turning off their parking lights.
Therefore, the sidelights will automatically turn on only on the left side of the car if the indicator is left in the downward position after the engine is shut off.
What does a BMW 3 Series parking light do?
The parking lamps are perhaps the component on a BMW that people are most unsure of exactly what they are supposed to be doing with. They are typically the first bulbs in the BMW F30 headlamp assembly to need replacement, and when they do, the instrument cluster and iDrive display the incessant warnings “Parking lamp malfunction.” What are the parking lamps’ locations and functions on a BMW F30 3 series?
In the headlight assembly of a 2012–2019 F30 3 series, the parking lamps are situated in the top inside corner of the high beam lens. They have a tiny 6w bulb inside, which is accessible from the top of the headlight assembly by removing a cover.
When a car is parked on the side of a dimly lit street, the BMW F30 parking lamps are employed as visual markers to distinguish the front and back of the car. Using the low/high beam bulbs when parked can make it unclear what your intentions are to oncoming traffic, so the front parking lamps are a preferable substitute for making your car visible to oncoming traffic. Although different nations have different laws requiring their use, it is usually a good idea to do so if you are inside a parked car on a dark roadway.

- On top of the headlight assembly, hidden beneath a protective cover, is the parking lighting.
- The first bulb behind the cover is the parking lamp. Take hold of it and pull the headlamp assembly apart with ease.
- Gently insert the bulb into the plug and turn it until the plug releases the bulb.
- The procedures above are reversed during installation. The oil from your hands could cause the replacement bulb to overheat, so try to avoid touching it with bare hands.
