How To Track BMW Order?

On the “new member” thread, this information for tracking orders in the UK was graciously supplied a while back. I choose to repost it on the UK forum to assist other members because I have found it to be really beneficial to follow my order. The BMW Genius team (located at this URL) has access to more recent data than my dealership has.

How do I track the delivery of my car?

For information regarding the whereabouts of your car, contact your car shipping firm. You may be able to track your vehicle’s whereabouts precisely if your driver has enabled GPS tracking. Even if the driver didn’t activate vehicle tracking, the broker can frequently predict your delivery date.

Most of the top auto transporters have more than ten years of experience. When a shipping business has transported hundreds of vehicles along your particular route, it is simpler for it to forecast when your package will arrive.

Where is my BMW located?

The simplest way is to consult BMW Genius or your dealer. They would be able to follow his allotment shipments in great detail day by day. Call them, and they’ll tell you the name of the ship. Prior to that, you can get a fair indication of your ship’s name by comparing the schedule you received when you ordered the automobile to the ships whose schedules coincide with the anticipated arrival date at the final port of entry.

How long is the ordering process for a 2022 BMW?

A quick search on VIN numbers for orders from BMW inventories for those coming soon shows that they are in the last stages of delivery. I specifically bought a BMW 5 Series, and I can already see it arriving at dealerships in 2022.

I was curious how long my 2022 build will take, assuming I already have a Production number.

I believe the OP is interested in learning the typical time from order to delivery at the dealership. I assume they already know how to monitor it based on their comment about other automobiles being in the “final stages of getting delivered.”

OP: A reasonable estimate from the moment your vehicle enters the “Production begins” stage is 6 to 8 weeks. Additionally, this is presuming your vehicle is unaffected by any recalls or sales restrictions.

On June 17, I placed an order for a 2022 M550 with a better trim level, the B&W stereo, etc. I was given a production slot for the second week of July. It barely spent three days at the port of Bremerhaven in Germany, so I got lucky given that the ports are backed up. It just arrived in the port of New York yesterday, indicating how quickly it moved from when it started the build to landing in the United States. Should have it in my possession in a week if the port’s Vehicle Processing Center doesn’t need to make any corrections.

Porsche orders take between 10 and 12 weeks to arrive, not that this is very relevant to a BMW order. An order that was placed a few weeks ago is scheduled for delivery at the start of October. It’s one of the first times I’ve heard of or seen an approximate delivery date at the time of ordering; typically, this information is provided as manufacturing moves along.

too many variables. The production week for the fully equipped M550i I ordered on July 2nd is August 23rd. That indicates that it will take 7.5 weeks to simply begin production.

BMW Track Day: What is it?

The Red Bull Ring in Austria, the Hockenheimring, and the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany are just a few of the famed European racetracks that will be hosting M Track Days events this summer, according to a calendar released by BMW. You have a fantastic opportunity to experience BMW’s cutting-edge M vehicles, as well as maybe the M2 CS Racing or M4 GT4 customer race cars, on renowned tracks that have made history.

Personal coaching in the M4 Competition, test drives in the M2 CS Racing or M4 GT4, taxi laps in the M4 GT4, and a race licensing course for German citizens utilizing the M4 Competition are all optional add-ons that are available for an additional fee.

The following racetracks are planned to host BMW’s M Track Days this summer:

  • Austria’s Red Bull Ring on May 14
  • Germany’s Hockenheimring, July 8–9.
  • Germany’s Nordschleife at the Nurburgring on September 29

The cost for the street and race groups at the Red Bull Ring and Hockenheimring is 650 euros and 950 euros, respectively, and track experience is necessary. The cost of the track day at the Nurburgring has not yet been disclosed. Both English and German are used for instruction.

How soon after the factory does BMW leave?

3-6 weeks to the US, provided it is rapidly loaded onto the boat, which priority 1 automobiles typically are. Following another 2-3 days at VPC, another 2-3 days are needed to go to Florida. Add additional week or two if you had ED. Realistically, early August would be the longest and middle July would be the fastest. Simply keep track of which boat it boarded to have a better idea of where it is.

How can you tell if your vehicle is a Priority 1 vehicle? My CS has been in “Quality Check” since the freaking 8th of June.

On the west coast, I was hoping to have by the beginning of August, but I’m confident it won’t happen right now.

Ask your dealer for your VIR, which should indicate that you are a Priority 1 if your car was a customer-ordered vehicle.

Since you received a CS, it is probable that it will remain at quality check for some time if US emissions, safety, or any other number of production-related issues need to be resolved at the factory. I wish you quick delivery!

Mine required 18 days. sent from the factory on 6/10. Accessed dealer on 6/28. I acquired it today. The My Garage, in my opinion, continues to be a few days behind schedule. My automobile is still shown as being in transit.

How much time is BMW traveling?

A term for vehicles that have left the manufacturing line but have not yet reached the dealership is “in transit,” which refers to your car. Depending on where the model line is manufactured, it may take 3 to 30 days for the car to reach the dealership.

What is a build week for BMW?

BMW is therefore commencing a couple of weeks before the initially announced start of production on July 17, if they say they’re building Week 27 or 28. That fits with the 30 orders from 2017 being transferred to 2018. Wwilliams102 06:14 PM 06-17-2017

When will my BMW be released from the port?

Week 2 production is currently at the port and there has been no change in that time. incredibly frustrated Going to Brunswick, GA in the hopes of boarding one of the upcoming boats

same exact circumstance. Lack of a clear method and not having previously ordered a car make the wait more unpleasant, especially when other cars appear to be shipping while some remain on the lot. No halt sales, btw.

I hear you, haha. Around the 12th, Donington will arrive at my port of entry. Recently, I was only curious how long it takes from the port of entry to the dealer.

Recently seems to be moving more quickly. Week 1 students received their automobiles quite fast. Considering that many people from weeks two and three are still in Germany

A BMW Performance front splitter, which is generally placed at the port of entry, is a port installed option on my order. Does anyone know if the car status keeps being “at the port” rather than changing to “in transit” aboard ship, till that option is installed?

No. The tracking will remain constant throughout. in transit from at port(exit) to at port(entry) to in transit

But I have a question for everyone because it seems like there is a gap in reporting when a vehicle is found aboard a ship. I’ve heard it could take a few days. Does anyone have any further information? That is, even though you might actually be on a ship that is 2, 3, or 4 days into its journey, you would still appear at the port.

I spent a brief amount of time at the port, but that was after spending more than three months in QC. I’m back “at the port” right now, but this time I’m waiting for a carrier on the east coast. Over a week has passed already. This past Saturday was supposed to be the day, but it might now be tomorrow. If one spot isn’t where you’re waiting, it’s another

I spent two weeks at the port. I’m hoping your automobile finds a boat soon!

How long does it currently take to get a new BMW?

Currently, the average lead time for new BMW orders is between 20 and 24 weeks. In addition to the four to six weeks of transit time that some models require, which is included in the average, lead times for electric and plug-in hybrid models are longer due to very high demand.

The firm informed us that while new-car inventory at BMW dealers is smaller than it has typically been, buyers may still browse what is offered online. Most new automobiles that are in stock can be delivered in less than two weeks.
