BMW E46 3-Series M3 Instrument Cluster Clock Adjuster Fix
This item is a fixture that enables the clock-adjustment feature to function once more in the gorgeous instrument panel of your BMW E46. Original development, inferior copies may be more difficult to use and more brittle!
ASA is a resilient raw material that outperforms PETG and ABS in terms of UV, heat, and cold resistance. In order to enhance the structure, the bottom of the ring is thicker.
There is a little video explaining the setup and a functional example: https://youtu.be/q24pEKgy7AA
Thanks for the installation video, which was provided by Jin Endow’s YouTube channel.
Notes for installation:
– Avoid touching the needles and snap a photo before installing it to aid in repositioning it.
Guide for installation:
- Take the cluster out of your vehicle.
- Using a T8 screwdriver, remove the four torx screws from the back.
- Remove the top, then pull off the black adjustment needle.
- Remove the cluster’s back.
- Take out the dark adjustment needle.
- Use a scalpel or paper cutter to remove the remnants of the original, white adjustment levers.

How can the time be changed on a 2005 BMW 325i?
the right cluster knob On your instrument cluster, there should be two knobs: the left one resets your trip meter, and the right one adjusts your time. If you push in, it will change from “AM/PM” to “2400,” so you only need to turn right to go forward and left to go back.

How can I convert my BMW e46 to Fahrenheit from Celsius?
If you have automatic climate control (often referred to as climate control) and want to switch the temperature display between celsius and fahrenheit, follow these steps:
Hold the “Auto” button pressed.
2. Single-click the front window defogger.
3. Disengage “Auto” button.
The onboard computer’s outside temperature display will not be changed by this; just the climate control display will.
On a 1999 E46 318 and a 2000 E46 330d, this functioned. I believe it will operate on all E46 vehicles.
Are you a US citizen? Then then, maybe it only works for US autos. My approach modifies the automatic climate inside temperature display as well as the outside temperature.
The two cars I tried it on were older than yours, perhaps. Another reason I couldn’t utilize your method in my car is because the temperature isn’t displayed on the instrument panel.
I merely wanted to write so that others might learn how to do this without being instructed to “take it to the dealer” if your way proved unsuccessful.
Is a BMW clockable?
A tamper decal is visible on the dash if a BMW is timed. No, it’s not at all a legend; the ECU raised a red flag. But if you purchase a few new parts, you can still clock a modern BMW.
What does E46 on a BMW mean?
The E46 3 Series was the successor to the E36 3 Series, whose manufacturing terminated in 2000, and is the fourth generation of the BMW 3 Series line of small executive automobiles. It was manufactured by the German automaker BMW from 1997 to 2006. The E46 was first made available in sedan, coupe, convertible, station wagon, and hatchback body styles in November 1997. The 3 Series Compact has been the name given to the latter.
The 2-door coupe version of the M3 performance variant debuted in June 2000, while the convertible version debuted in April 2001. The BMW S54 straight-six engine powers the M3, which has a 6-speed manual or 6-speed SMG-II automated manual transmission as an option.
After the E90 3 Series sedans were released in late 2004, the E46 lineup began to be phased out. The E46 coupe and convertible body types, however, were still manufactured up until August 2006.

Are BMW E46s quick?
The regular E46 M3 has an electronically regulated peak speed of 155 mph and can go from zero to 62 mph in under 5.1 seconds. The E46 M3’s acceleration to 62 mph was almost a second faster than that of its forerunner, the E36 M3.
The E46 M3 also demonstrated impressive grip by handling 0.89g on the skidpad, demonstrating the superbly adjusted chassis dynamics that made it a cultural classic.
Which E46 year is the best?
Although it’s difficult to go wrong with any model year of the E46, we would recommend the 2002 and later model years to driving aficionados for their increased power and pure steering feel, as well as for the redesigned styling that appeared on the sedan and wagon in that year (and came a year later for coupes and convertibles).
It should be noted that it is also feasible to find a 2001 with the extra displacement but without the over-boosted steering if the visual upgrades are not important to you. BMW offered free (and later paid) recalibration services for impacted 2001 vehicles, and late-model cars had factory-installed stronger steering.
The ZHP-equipped 330i does a great job of bridging the gap as the E46 M3 is out of most people’s price range. A 330i or even a 325i, especially one with the Sport package and a manual gearbox, would undoubtedly satisfy the majority of people who enjoy driving. However, the rather uncommon (in comparison to all the 325/330s out there) 330i ZHP would be well-served by those seeking even sharper handling and even quicker acceleration.

Why is the E46 the best?
The internal motorsport section of BMW produced the BMW E46 M3, which is the high-performance variant of the E46 3-series. It was first only made as a coupe, but a convertible version was later added. During its premiere, it won over the hearts of true sports car aficionados right away. It resembled the classic BMW M3 E30 in terms of its lightweight design and high-revving inline-6 engine.
Due to its elegance, allure, and general design, the E46 generation has since been regarded as the best M vehicle ever produced. For a while, the E46’s excitement was quite consistent, but it has recently returned to the forefront, and the desire for this car is once again on the rise. In light of this, we are here to explain why the E46 M3 is the greatest M3 money can currently buy if you are in the market for one.
