I haven’t seen this posted here, but I’ve occasionally found it to be helpful. Hold down the DVD and CD drive eject buttons while turning the radio power knob to completely restart your car control computer (I-Drive, Navigation, and Audio). In spite of the system rebooting from scratch, none of your presets or stored data are lost. The system does not entirely reboot when you turn the car off and back on again, at least not to this extent.
This approach has come in helpful for me on a few occasions, such as when dealing with a problematic CCC, installing a North American navigation disk after removing a Euro disk, or whenever the system begins acting strangely. Similar to the CTRL-ALT-DEL salute for Wintel computers.
