The button is convex instead of concave, which is the single change I would have preferred to see made. Additionally, it feels like it wiggles a little when you lightly press down on it. That makes it seem flimsy to me. Additionally, there is a great deal of pointless travel merely to start the car. A nicer approach to start the car is to stiffen it up, shorten the travel, and make the button concave.
Normally I wouldn’t be picky about something like this, but it seems like they didn’t give it any attention. Just that it could be better.

This is one approach. Alternately, you might omit removing the vent altogether. Simply work your way around the start button trim with a trim removal tool, or, as I did, a plastic putty knife, and then pull the unit out. For me, it went really smoothly. I painted my start button trim after removing it. I’m about to remove the start button and replace the orange LED with a blue one.
