How To Open BMW Top Box?

When I’m traveling, I keep a lot of vital items in my top box, but when I went to open it recently, it became stuck. How can I get the top box on my BMW to open?

In less than two minutes, find out if your auto insurance is being overcharged.

Your motorcycle needs a top box, so it’s fortunate that a stuck BMW top box is rather easy to unlock. Voici what to do:

  • Consider the material. Is there anything inside that could have prevented the clamps from working properly? Is the box unable to open for some reason?
  • Let go of the handle. To proceed on to the next stage, take it off the rack.
  • If your box doesn’t include any delicate items, shake it around. This should free up any debris that may have become lodged in the clamps and enable the latch to flip up successfully on your subsequent attempts.

Unfortunately, riding a motorcycle has other risks besides a blocked top box. After shaking up your box, take a moment to evaluate your motorbike insurance before pausing for breath.

When my door is jammed shut and something is blocking the clamps inside, it occasionally won’t open. Release the handle, take it off the rack, and shake it about before attempting it once more. The mechanism may become jammed as a result of overload. My button is likewise notoriously difficult to press. not certain why.

How is a 49L top case without a lock opened?

I bought a pre-owned BMW top case from 2004 to 2006. Although it was touted as not having a key, the cylinder is missing, therefore there is no lock. I can open the clasp on the baggage rack, but I can’t get the case to open by itself. Although the part of the lock mechanism that opens the top latch can be pushed in, it behaves as though it is locked and won’t release the top latch. I am unable to see what needs to be moved to make it unlocked. Any advice on how to go in order to begin the case would be greatly appreciated. I already purchased a new lock cylinder, but I might be missing further components or might need to replace any broken ones.
