There is no code for radio… I have a 2004 and have replaced the original radio with two others; neither asked for or needed a code to function.
A 10 amp fuze is located at the back of the radio. It’s possible, but extremely rare, that it blew when you were charging the battery.
Consider unplugging the amplifier before turning on the radio. then, with the radio off… radio after reinstalling the amplifier.
There is a tiny chance that this is the problem, but you never know. The disabling issue might be resolved by removal/power up/shut down/reinstall/power up. It is comparable to having a computer problem. Reset all the background defaults by turning on or off.

Business Radio NOT WORKING
Since switching back to the OEM head unit, the radio has been disabled. I’ve been reading and exploring forums for about two weeks, but it doesn’t seem like anyone has been able to offer a solution. Other modifications have not been made. Some claim it has to do with the ibus, some with the kbus, still others with the code, although this model doesn’t call for one. The radio on my car is the only item that doesn’t work. 2001 325i. The aftermarket radio is functional. I am aware that the individual jokingly claiming that any bus traffic to pin 7 is absurd.
It is a connection to the i/k bus. On my bench test setup, I used various OEM E46 radios. They are pleased when they see the K-Bus.
The I/K-bus that Thaniel indicated should be the one in question. I installed three BMW head units in my car, and they all functioned without any more action. Consequently, one or more of the signal cables are broken.
In my situation, the dash had three different adapters. I was able to discover the OEM adapter uncut after I fished them out. The only issue is that the volume on the radio is erratic when using the plug-in; however, the steering-wheel controls function just well. That’s fine with me. I must thus concur with wiring.
A few websites mention using the ican/ bus to transmit a signal to unlock. No design or required software, however. The easiest thing seems to be a functioning BMW automobile.
Fix for the MINI R50/R53 Car Stereo Message “DISABLED”

If anyone is interested in trying this, the ELMOS 10020B chip needs to be changed. This chip may be located in a different place on the circuit board depending on the type of stereo you have.
You need to cover the connectors with solder and run your iron up and down the connections while keeping it hot enough to melt the solder all at once in order to remove the surface-mounted chip. The chip will rise from the board as soon as all of the solder is melted. Once the connections have been cleaned of excess solder and the replacement chip has been carefully positioned onto the board, you can re-solder the connections to keep the chip and connections in place. I had never done anything similar before and was taken aback by how easy it was.
