Hello, everybody. I don’t know how to sync my iPhone with my 2011 335i so I can utilize the hands-free Bluetooth, and my car doesn’t have iDrive. I’ve searched online and on YouTube, but nothing has helped. The instruction is also not very clear. Even after searching for devices on my iPhone and pressing the phone button, the automobile won’t appear. It’s evident that I need to turn on the Bluetooth in my car, but I’m having trouble doing it. Although my 2008 doesn’t have iDrive, the steps should be comparable for you.
First, confirm that “Discoverable” mode is enabled on your phone. (Bluetooth turned on and prepared to pair with your car in this instance.)
Since I’ve previously paired my phone, my picture displays the name of my phone, but you should choose the BT option (BT stands for Bluetooth).
You are then directed to a screen where the car begins looking for compatible phones. Due to the fact that mine is already set up (and I don’t want to unpair it only for this example), I am sorry but I am unable to present your specific next alternatives. But eventually (hopefully), the head unit display will inform you that it has discovered a phone and prompt you to input a code on the head unit OR a code on your phone. I apologize, but this step seems to vary somewhat between phones and efforts. In my situation, when the CAR requested a code, I just typed in 1 2 3 4. This completes the pairing, so you should be ready to go (alternatively, if my phone had given me a code, I would have entered it on the car).

This is the exact same problem. The procedure seems straightforward, however I believe neither you nor I have Bluetooth-capable cars.
