For the BMW 745i, 745li, and 760iL equipped with the CPT8000 Motorola Timeport phone and CPT9000 V Series phone from 2002 to 2005, there are only two Bluetooth options. These two systems are only available for the 7 Series automobiles sold in North America.
This upgrade module is for your BMW 7 Series E65 2002-2004 if it has a CPT8000. It only functions with the E65/E66 7 series.
This upgrade module is for your BMW 7 Series E65 2004-2005 if it has a CPT9000 V Series phone. Any BMW with a V Series phone can use this module.
BMW 7 Series E65 Bluetooth Upgrade Kit (2002-2003)
For the BMW 745i, 745li, and 760iL models from 2002 to 2003 that have the Motorola CPT-8000 Timeport phone version as a part of the BMW telephone option.
This upgrade module is for your BMW 7 Series E65 2002-2003 if it has a CPT-8000 telephone. This kit DOES NOT SUPPORT ANY OTHER BMWS; IT ONLY SUPPORTS THE MODEL 7 SERIES E65/E66 IN THE USA AND CANADA FROM 2002 TO 2004. Only the BMW 7 Series from North America with the model years 2002–2003 can use the specified connector on this module.

PLEASE NOTE: You must install an application on your bluetooth-enabled phone that supports A2DP in order to use A2DP Music over Bluetooth. The music over Bluetooth feature in your BMW requires the use of A2DP, which must be enabled and disabled on the phone itself. Please take note of these restrictions and the manual control of the Music over Bluetooth function from your smart phone as Music over Bluetooth is not officially supported by BMW vehicles prior to 2011 Models.

- Select Other Devices under Bluetooth in Settings.
- Tap to choose your car’s name from the list.
- The setup and pairing process can then be completed by adhering to the onscreen directions.
The issue is resolved if your iPhone X successfully connects to or couples with your car, and all Bluetooth car pairing features operate as intended. Resets will be your only option in that case.
