How To Code BMW Fuel Injectors?

I’ve read complaints from BMW shops about “calibrating” the 535i’s replacement injectors. Normal injectors do not need to be coded for, according to my theory, but high pressure/direct injection injectors need. However, I cannot guarantee this.

It’s possible to run that one cylinder richer or leaner. You only get one oxygen sensor for three cylinders, so even a 3% error would be around half a point of AFR.
