This is my first BMW, so I’m curious about how others clean their dashboards. I often use Armor All or a similar cleanser; will that work okay on the BMW dashboard?
The dash top will typically merely require dusting. It shouldn’t accumulate “dirt” and require cleaning besides dust.
I enjoy the 303 cleaner for cleaning dusty interior surfaces, such as anything you touch as the steering wheel*, parking brake handle, armrest, etc.
I prefer 303 Protectant, which provides it a matte surface and UV protection, once it has been dusted and cleaned.
*Some steering wheels, including those covered in Alcantara, may require extra care. Additionally, you should use a minimal amount of protectant so as not to make the wheel slick or slippery.
I appreciate all of your responses. I’ve never heard of 303 Protectant; someone said you could get it at a boat or marine store; is that the only location? Is that also the 303 brand? I didn’t want to use a protectant like Armor All or similar products because I don’t like the shiny appearance.
FYI, 303 offers UV damage protection. Nowadays, most UV light is filtered off by auto windows. Heat is the primary cause of fading interiors. 1z Cockpit Premium has a small amount of cleaners in it, isn’t at all slippery, doesn’t shine, and guards against interior fading from heat.

TIP: If your dashboard contains one or more TFT LCD (thin film transistor liquid crystal display) panels, avoid using Simple Green on them. Only use a microfiber cloth and lukewarm water to clean these.
