The service information is not installed into the iDrive for the US F80 edition. Instead, based on your past date of service and driving style, the projected mileage and date are displayed when you click to the car info page. For instance, it shows 10,000 miles and the projected date of June 2015 for this service when the engine oil is highlighted in my M3. I received confirmation of this from BMWNA and our local BMW genius.
After the 2000km service, should the service history tab remain open?

The launch control is inoperative! However, I was present the entire time they performed the service, and when they were finished, they attached a wireless communicator to the car’s OBD port and used a handheld tablet to operate on it. I even warned them against using the BC button to reset it.

I have an odd mix of these problems: I have an LC that is active, but there is no Service History in the Service Required tab, so just the upcoming requirements are shown.
Consequently, it appears that a few BMW shops have not updated idrive with all the servicing. I already have a paper service history, but I was curious as to whether a BMW shop will update the idrive service history for FREE. All servicing is reportedly recorded in the central workshop database, but at the time it wasn’t transferred to the key or idrive.
A few weeks after service, I realized that mine was missing. When I called the dealer, they rescheduled the car and completed the service gratis. Since it’s a requirement of the servicing schedule, I wouldn’t settle for anything less.
The latter systems, which are distinct from the service indicators that have been in existence for years, store the service history in the idrive (date, miles, work done).

Two dealers who were located roughly 200 miles away provided the service. However, another nearby dealer may upload the service information to the iDrive since it is already in the workshop database.
