Since importing automobiles is more popular in the EU, I advise posting your inquiry in the 5 series section of www.autopower.se if you’re Danish. This Swedish website has several conversations concerning this topic.
I appreciate the heads-up; I’ll check out that topic. I’ve been searching for a European BMW forum, but I haven’t really found anything that compares to this fantastic location:
My own was imported from a BMW advertisement in Germany, and I set my language settings to Swedish. I can’t recall if it included Danish. But by experimenting with settings, you can accomplish it yourself.
If the vehicle has GPS and connected driving, things get a little more complicated because these services vary by country. In these situations, changing the identity of the car has occasionally proven challenging because the built-in SIM card was hard coded for a particular nation.
In a few weeks, I’ll get my imported 2014 F11 LCI 530xd car, so it will be fascinating to see if it’s difficult or not. The vehicle has integrated drive and navigation.
I wish you well in your endeavors. I read about a Swede who purchased a used car that was a direct import from Germany from a Swedish dealer. The vehicle was equipped with all navi and connected drive functions, but it was unable to be configured as a Swedish vehicle, making it impossible to access the Swedish connected drive portal. Several functions were inoperable.
I recently discovered that you must submit certain paperwork to BMW and register the vehicle in order for the linked drive services to function with the Swedish portal if you bring a car from Germany to Sweden.

Hi
Today, I received my E90 320d EfficientDynamics. German is the language of the Bluetooth Voice Control (no iNavi, but professional radio). Is there a simple way to switch the language to English (Finnish is probably not available)?
Greetings, fellow Finn! I received my E91 325dA yesterday and discovered today that the Voice Control lady speaks German instead of English (I do have Prof Navi, though). Have you discovered a remedy yet?
The BMW importer from Finland informed me that the “language of the automobile” needed to be changed from German to English. Only the authorized BMW service representative is qualified to perform the work. I must thus drive the car to the garage so they can use their specialized tools to do the task. According to what I heard, the task is simple if you know what to do. That charge is still up for negotiation, though.
I merely discussed my personal experience:
My automobile only spoke German when I acquired it, but the dealer upgraded the software so that it also speaks English now. Therefore, Finnish dealers at least have a method for doing this.
Dealers may not want to learn further information, or US automobiles may have a different software design.
