Techniques for diagnosing and repairing vehicles are covered in the program. You’ll discover how the car’s electrical system, engine, brakes, suspension, steering, and tires all work together as a single system. The duration of the automobile mechanics program might range from one to two years.

As an alternative, some people who want to work as automobile test drivers choose to earn a four-year bachelor’s degree in order to stand out from the competition. You can learn how automobiles function and learn to spot mechanical issues by earning a bachelor’s degree in automotive technology or a mechanical engineering degree with a concentration in automotive design and manufacturing. You will learn about the process of making cars throughout the courses for both degrees.

These instances clearly demonstrate why BMWs have earned the moniker “Ultimate Driving Machine,” which they are referred to as.

Since the 1970s, BMW has marketed itself as being the “Ultimate Driving Machine.” Since then, it has become the German automaker’s enduring brand identity, elevating the company to the ranks of the most recognizable in the field.

BMW has consistently created era-defining vehicles over the years and across numerous decades that perfectly balance performance and aesthetics and are regarded as driver’s vehicles. Here are some of the German company’s best examples from over the years that helped define what a driver’s car should be.

How much money do I need to make to buy a BMW?

The annual household income of a buyer of a new BMW vehicle or SUV is $124,800. In order to put that into perspective with the US populace, in 2020, the median household income in the country was $67,521. It should be noted that the median income in 2019 was $69,560.

Since the MSRP of the BMW product line varies widely, it stands to reason that the typical household income also varies widely. For example, the 2022 BMW 750i of the BMW 7-series has an MSRP that starts at $103,000, while the rather rare 2022 BMW Alpina B7 has an MSRP that starts at $143,200. Buyers of new BMW 7-Series vehicles make an average household income of $184,170.

The popular BMW 2022 3-Series, on the other hand, starts at an MSRP of $41,450 for the 330i model. A new BMW 3-Series owner makes an average annual household income of $116,550.

Keep in mind that these are national averages. Recently, Kantar Media TGI conducted research on luxury car owners for the New York Times, finding that geography is important when comparing vehicle ownership and “average household income”. They discovered that a luxury car owner made around $100,000 on average, but that average varied from $83,891 to $155,548, depending on the state!

Our total sample size is little over 3,000 brand-new BMW owners, and our error margin is +/-2.5%.

BMW drivers are they good?

MoneyBarn, a provider of auto financing, conducted a study that provided interesting insights about how we view people and the cars they drive. According to their analysis, 40% of poll respondents chose the German automobile manufacturer BMW as the most despised brand of vehicle on the road.

The majority of respondents who were polled by the agency regarding “the worst drivers on the road” expressed their anger with BMW drivers. Reads the report:

“It’s obvious that BMW drivers have established quite a name for them, which is how the joke about BMWs not having indicators came to be.

“Additionally, a short online search for “why are BMW drivers…” yields suggestions like “so loathed,” “so arrogant,” and “idiots” to emphasize how the general population appears to view them.

With 14.1% of the vote, Audi is in second position. The white van is the next vehicle, the one that everyone’s mother loves to curse at. Surprisingly, only 7.9% of the voters chose them. Fords and Range Rovers, which are unquestionably the best-behaved drivers on our roads, came in third and fourth, respectively.

According to Tim Schwarz, Head of Marketing and Product Development at Moneybarn, “it may come as a surprise that BMW drivers are despised nearly five times more than white van drivers, as it’s a popular view that white van drivers aren’t the most accommodating on the roads.”

“However, our research finds that Audi drivers are the least popular drivers in the country, receiving 39.1% of the vote, followed by BMW drivers (14.1 percent).

“Although 7.9% of people believe white van drivers are the worst on the road, they are a common commercial vehicle that is well-known for being the vehicle of choice for delivery drivers, builders, plumbers, key employees, and more.

It’s a popular fallacy that everyone who drives a particular brand, like a BMW or an Audi, is a poorer driver, but this is all subjective, and your car doesn’t determine whether you’re a good or bad driver.
