So I recently purchased my wonderful x5, and this morning my wife rear-ended it, doing some good work on the front bumper. Since scratches are visible through the paint, the bumper will likely need to be completely repainted.
I’ll attempt tonight, however it appears that some of the scratches are completely through. I was hoping that since her automobile is white, it was simply her paint, but sadly, I fear not.

Gas cleaning worked as I had hoped when I tried it. It pierced the paint. To find out how much, I’m going to the bmw collision center. Maybe it will help if I remove the bumper myself.

Since it’s a fantastic resource for the students, I would only charge no more than PS100 for managing such departments at a college in the UK. Therefore, my wife’s X5 received the identical damage as yours when it was struck. Their insurance company was charged a little over $1,000 to fix it by the BMW collision shop.
Similar damage to my wife’s Nissan was repaired for $500. Perhaps Nissan, whose prices are a little lower. After repainting half of the bumper, they clear coated the entire bumper. There is no difference, it appears to be brand new. It took her and I some time to receive quotes from three separate body shops; the range was amusingly between $1600 and $500. The $1600 one advised us to replace the entire bumper, haha. You are aware that in the US and Canada, things can become absurd. Although I’ve become accustomed to it, the fact that even a little scratch can cost hundreds of dollars to repair still baffles me.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the cost to sand, repaint, clear coat, and buff both doors was in the neighborhood of $1500+ USD.

When incidents like this occur, you wish you had front and back dash cameras to record them and, ideally, identify the perpetrators so you could take further legal action.
I recently seen a video online of someone keying cars in an underground parking garage. One of those cars just so happened to have its dashcam on, which recorded everything.
