There are 400 limited edition BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition vehicles being made worldwide, with five types available for market debut in the UK. Production begins in March 2020, but the 1 of 8 range with BMW Individual Manufaktur components is not currently for sale.
The BMW Individual Aurora Diamond Green Metallic paint treatment, the gold bronze elements on the BMW kidney grille, the side M gills and M light alloy wheels in Y-spoke design, the yellow corona BMW Laserlights, and a classy “First Edition” badge in the center console are all premium features.

The M8 might be a fantastic investment.
The 8 Series hasn’t exactly been performing up to expectations in terms of sales, and that much is obvious.
For instance, BMW only sold 4,410 of them in the United States in 2019, and that number includes all models, from the entry-level M6 to the potent M8.
With only 1,694 examples sold through the first quarter of the year, 2020 is also not looking bright (March 2020) The 8 Series was still a new model at the time, but that’s an increase from 601 in 2019. The M8 Coupe, M8 Convertible, and M8 Gran Coupe were all contenders, so although we don’t have any official figures on how many of those were of M status, you can probably guess that not many of each model were sold.
A report from BMW Blog, which asserts that BMW dealers have a large number of unsold M8 Coupe and Convertible vehicles simply sitting on the lot, supports this. Because of this, BMW will not be offering the 2021 M8 Coupe or Convertible for sale in the United States. However, if you want four doors, I suppose you can have a Gran Coupe. It’s also the least expensive M8 of the group, coming in at $130,000 as opposed to the Coupe’s $133,000 and the Convertible’s absurd $142,000 price tags.
What does all of this mean to you, except the fact that a 2021 M8 Coupe or Convertible is not available? In fact, both of these models might not be produced in the United States after 2020. A very small number of them exist on this side of the globe due to their already low sales (despite the unsold models waiting for homes like tiny puppies in a pound), and you know what the situation is with rare cars. Some of them become extremely valuable when well-maintained and driven seldom. The M8, in any form, might not have the same cache as a Ferrari or other extremely expensive and rare exotic, but it still might prove to be a good purchase. Just be sure to hold off a bit longer before making a purchase because BMW will surely offer steep discounts on the 2020 models near the end of the year and into early 2021 as it strives to move out of excess inventory.
If that’s not your thing, I also saw that the original 8 Series is still selling for over $25,000 and may rise in value in the future if it’s kept in good shape. However, I wouldn’t really call myself an expert in car values, so perhaps I’m giving you bad advise. After all, making investments is always a chance.
Robert has always had a passion for cars. At a young age, he began working on vehicles, learning the fundamentals from his father in the family garage on the weekends. Robert’s passion in vehicles grew over time, and at the age of 13, he persuaded his father to give him a driving lesson. Robert continued to work on automobiles in his spare time and studied everything he could about engines, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems. This only piqued his interest further and eventually led him to obtain a bachelor’s degree in automotive technology with a primary focus on engine performance and transmission rebuilding.
BMW M8
The BMW M8 is the BMW 8 Series (G15high-performance )’s variant, which is sold under the BMW M sub-brand.
The M8 was first manufactured in two-door convertible (F91 model code) and two-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles when it was first introduced in June 2019. In October 2019, a 4-door sedan with the model number F93 and the “Gran Coupe” branding was introduced. The BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 powers the M8 (F90).
FROM THE IDEA TO THE ROAD
The realization of that goal is the BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition, which heralds the beginning of a decisive new era. It will go into production in March 2020 and have a market launch cap of 400 units, representing a new level of high-performance luxury. At its world debut at the LA Auto Show in November 2019, the M8 Gran Coupe First Edition debuted a slew of lavish new design elements. The avant-garde BMW Individual Special Paint Aurora Diamond Green Metallic and the special M light-alloy wheels with a three-dimensional Y-spoke design were among the highlights. The characteristic M Gills, side window trims, writing with the recognizable M8 insignia, and of course the emotional double kidney, all done in gold-bronze, were added as touches to the famous yellow BMW Laser Lights.
Limit of 10 units for BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane
A new limited edition BMW vehicle is being released by BMW Switzerland. The BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane was especially created for the Swiss and Liechtenstein vehicle markets. By March 2021, just ten examples of the BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane will be made overall. Only three of the edition vehicles are based on the M8 Competition Convertible, while seven of them are based on the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe.
The BMW Individual special painting Hockenheim Silver metallic is applied to all 10 vehicles. Additionally, they are mounted on 20-inch M Performance forged wheels with Y-spokes that are Ferric gray matte coated. The M Carbon option, which adds new aero and lightweight components, improves the appearance. The M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane also has a carbon fuel tank cap made by M Performance.
The interior of the limited edition features BMW Individual full Merino leather trim in the shades of Sakhir Orange and Black, M carbon bucket seats, and interior trim made of carbon fiber. On the steering wheel, carbon M Performance shift paddles are offered for manual gear selection. On the center console, editions writing and sequential numbers signify the exclusivity of the cars.
Nothing has changed internally. With a 625 PS output, the 4.4 liter V8 TwinTurbo drives all four wheels through an 8-speed M Steptronic gearbox with Drivelogic. Naturally, xDrive and the active M differential are included in the price. A high-gloss black paint job covers the calipers of the M compound braking system, which is also included in the edition vehicles.
Beginning in February 2021, visitors to the BMW Group Experience Center in Dielsdorf will be able to see the first example of the BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane in person. In addition, a M Performance Car Cover with embroidered Pit Lane unique writing that is manufactured specifically for both body variations of the BMW M8 Competition Edition Pit Lane automobiles is delivered with each one. Additionally, there includes a storage bag.
First Edition of the extremely rare 2020 BMW M8 Competition goes up for sale
You can’t go wrong with owning a fast German sports car with a “M” badge attached to the back. The current BMW M8 is one of the most fierce vehicles produced by BMW’s M division, which produces some of the top performance automobiles available. BMW decided to release the restricted First Edition vehicle last year to commemorate the M8 Gran Coupe starting production. Only 400 of these vehicles were made (50 of which were shipped to the United States), and they were specially painted Aurora Diamant Green metallic with Gold Bronze highlights in homage to the Concept M8 Gran Coupe unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Sadly, we’ve already seen some destroyed versions, but this car is in pristine condition and is available for purchase on the Holman Motorcars website.
The BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition includes a few more special features, such as specifically painted side skirts and an exclusive set of 20-inch wheels, in addition to the numbered “1 of 400” plaque highlighting this model’s exclusivity. A 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque powers the vehicle. An eight-speed automatic transmission distributes such power to all four wheels. The First Edition will reach its electronically regulated top speed of 155 mph in under three seconds, and with the additional M Driver’s Package, that speed may be increased to 190 mph.
The car displayed here includes a plethora of optional extras, such as the highly coveted M Driver’s Package, active driving assistant pro, heated front and rear seats, park assist plus, extended traffic jam assistant, active blind spot detection, active driving assistant, active park distance control, and the comfort seating package. This unique M-car, which has just 2,712 miles on the odometer, has a market value of $149,950.
Will the significant price reduction bring in customers this time?
In case you missed it, BMW sold the M8, also known as the M8 Gran Coupe, just as a four-door model in the US for the 2021 model year. That’s okay because the coupe has returned to the lineup for the 2022 model year despite not really taking off as much as the company had hoped.
Even better, the M8 Coupe and M8 Convertible will both be offered as Competition-only variants and will be significantly cheaper than their 2020 sticker prices. This is wonderful news for those who want to drive the flagship BMW in its authentic two-door coupe configuration, especially with the price reduction that’s sufficient to purchase an economy vehicle.

How many BMW i8s exist worldwide?
Benoit Jacob was the designer of the BMW i8 in production. 2013 Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez was followed by the 2013 International Motor Show Germany, where the production model was unveiled. The BMW M1 Homage concept car, which itself pays homage to BMW’s last mid-engined sports car in production before the i8, had a significant effect on its design.
Butterfly doors, a head-up display, rearview cameras, and partially fake engine noise were all features of the BMW i8. Customer car series production started in April 2014. The two-speed electric drivetrain was created and manufactured by GKN. As opposed to LED headlights, it was the first production vehicle using laser headlights.
The i8 had a low drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.26 and a vehicle weight of 1,485 kg (3,274 lb) (DIN kerb weight). The top speed of the BMW i8 in all-electric mode was 120 km/h (75 mph). The i8 achieved a midrange acceleration from 50 to 75 mph (80 to 120 km/h) in 2.6 seconds when in Sport mode. 250 km/h was the electronically controlled peak speed (155 mph).
In December 2019, one of the restricted Ultimate Sophisto Edition models, the 20,000th i8, was created. On June 11 of 2020, the final i8 left the factory. 20,465 vehicles were made in total, with 16,581 coupes and 3,884 roadsters.
Is the BMW M8 regarded as a supercar?
Price and Review of the BMW M8. The BMW M8 has supercar acceleration, long-distance comfort, and a stunning appearance. But some extras that shouldn’t cost extra do, and the less expensive M850i is very nearly as nice.
