It should be in one of your manuals, but mine wasn’t, so I had to remove the panel in the wheel well and search on the device to find my Bluetooth passkey.
The OEM Bluetooth has superior call quality and function (no need to switch to aux) than the Kinova device. The only drawback is that I have to manually “connect” my Kinivo device with my phone again after receiving a call on the built-in bluetooth in order to resume playing music (may just be an iphone thing).

excellent DIY video The aux port is in the glove box on my 4.6, which came with the exact same package. The configuration is inoperable right now. I attempted to choose “mode,” but AUX never appears. I’ll probably need to inspect the wiring beneath the GPS by opening everything up. I quickly swapped some fuses, but that didn’t help either. Possible loose wiring.
I’m not sure, but I believe that in order for the Aux mode to activate, something must first be plugged into the Aux port.
This past weekend, I put in my OEM kit, and the issue is still present. It won’t go into aux mode for me. I’m making sure that it is connected in and receiving a signal from my phone. I made sure my kit is the appropriate one and that my car is from the 11/02 production run. I haven’t got any more time to investigate the problem. Any recommendations?
I followed the kit’s directions, but my kit had a brown wire, but the instructions specified a yellow wire. I choose to follow the directions in the YouTube video up above instead.
Note that the device at the top part of the dash only had a tape player in it, but my car has a 6-disk changer in the trunk.
I’m not sure whether I’ve seen anything about adding the aux. input to the tape player head unit, but that tape player might change things.
On vehicles without DSP, the electronics for the stereo amplifier, etc. are actually housed in the Business and Professional CD player units (in the dash), which explains why these devices have an aux input.
