Can someone please tell me where the aux input for the stereo from the basic 1 series is located? I’m attempting to determine which system I should purchase to enable stereo playback of my iPod.
My 2009 128i vert doesn’t have an iPod interface, and I don’t believe that this has changed. I connect my GPS output to the center console’s auxiliary connection, which I also use to play MP3s and Bluetooth music. If you purchase the iPod Adder, you will receive both a USB connector and an iPod pocket on the underside of the arm rest, directly over the aux port. If you don’t have navigation but have a USB interface, you can view your iPod’s playlist on the radio or on the navigation unit.
I can confirm that music sounds good when it is played through the accessory input, and you can change it using the button on the steering wheel. I choose playlists from my Garmin’s library using the GPS.
Where is your Garmin mounted? Do you use any cable tidying devices or instructions to keep the cabin tidy and clutter-free? How far is your armrest’s cord from your Garmin? What source do you use for the cable? Could you photograph your setup?

I had a flat battery, and my aux facility vanished. Your automobile may have experienced this or the battery may have been disconnected at some point. It appears that a BMW expert will need to recode it.
The identical issue with my aux connector has happened to me. My aux function stopped working once my battery was flat, so I started the car with a different battery. When I looked for an explanation on the internet, I discovered two causes:
The radio need reprogramming, for one.
2. The radio’s aux cord contains a built-in resistor. in order for the radio to understand the function.

Has the BMW 1 Series Aux?
The 2018 model year 1-series has undergone an interior overhaul consisting of new trim options, blackout dials, and the most recent i-drive infotainment system, similar to the 2-series coupe and cabriolet. The dashboard has also seen a slight modification.
The fact that the rear-drive arrangement has produced a high transmission tunnel and a rear-set cabin, both of which combine to make life a little uncomfortable for the passenger in the back of the 1 Series, is one of the main complaints about it. It’s good for short trips, but knee room is quite tight, so don’t ask somebody to take a seat in the middle of the back seat. When there are no passengers in the back, the barely average 360-liter boot can be chosen with an optional split-fold design, expanding its volume to 1200 liters.
All 1 Series models come equipped with a stylish, high-resolution 6.5-inch dashboard screen and the most recent version of BMW’s iDrive rotary controller conveniently located in the center console. Can audio be played using USB?
The female audio connection on computers is already utilized for audio output. When I discovered gadgets like a USB External Sound Card that we can plug into a USB port and which now functions as an audio output, I was astounded. I’ve always assumed that USB ports are exclusively used for power and data transfer.
It is not possible to use a USB port for audio purposes alone. For obvious reasons, you can connect a USB audio device like a headphone. Similar to how a USB external audio card functions, digital audio data is sent and converted into an analog signal.
