The newest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which is a part of Phase 4, recently came out. The movie is fantastic, and we really enjoyed it. However, the focus of our review is on the vehicles that appear in the film. For each superhero movie series, Marvel always partners with a specific automaker, such as Lexus in Black Panther, Hyundai in Ant-Man, or Audi in Iron Man. BMW was selected as the partner to provide the vehicles for Shang-Chi, and you get to see some fantastic vehicles!

In Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, BMWs are commonplace.
In practically every frame in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, fans of the Marvel franchise may have seen BMW’s logo. Every time Marvel Studios signs a deal with a vehicle business, it is painfully obvious, but the end product is always some stunning cars on display. In the most recent MCU film, the blue and white Bavarian emblem appears frequently and is always associated with anything intriguing. Without giving anything away, here are a few BMWs from Shang-Chi.
BMW Appearance in New Shang-Chi Marvel Film
Audi has been the official automaker of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008. The Iron Man teaser introduced its legendary Audi R8 to the world’s big screens, and it completely blew aficionados’ minds. While other companies, including Acura and Hyundai, have occasionally appeared in previous Marvel films, Audi has been primarily responsible for moving Marvel superheroes around. However, it now appears like BMW may be entering and Audi may be leaving. BMW is not just the car of choice for Black Widow, but Shang-Chi, the newest superhero in the Marvel universe, also appears to be a fan of the brand.
Although Shang-Chi has already had a trailer, the most recent one features more plot, more action, and more BMW. The brand-new trailer, which debuted last night, has two action scenes involving BMW vehicles. One truly depicts a BMW, while the other displays a BMW that has sustained some collateral damage.
The collateral damage comes first. A runaway bus crashes into a BMW i8 like a monster truck does a Chevy Cavalier in a sequence that appears in both trailers. Although it’s sad to see such a cool, uncommon car destroyed, at least it happened on the big screen in one of the most successful film franchises ever. There are more harmful options.
Despite the fact that we don’t know who is driving, the second BMW pictured does get driven. It’s a red BMW M8 being driven through what appears to be the streets of San Francisco, though I’m not sure which particular red it is. I’m not sure if the BMW M8 is the vehicle of good guys or bad guys, but I suppose we’ll find that out in due time.
With two Marvel films under its belt, it’s possible that BMW will replace Audi as the Marvel franchise’s official brand. If so, BMW would benefit greatly from the alliance because it was so successful for Audi. The R8 is still associated with Tony Stark, so perhaps BMW and either Shang-Chi or Black Widow can achieve the same level of recognition.
In Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings,” the BMW iX3 makes its movie premiere.
The Marvel Studios film “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings,” which debuts in theaters around the world in September, has partnered with the BMW iX3. Following the BMW X3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe’s appearances in Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” earlier this year, this is the next stage of BMW’s fruitful partnership with the studio.
In conjunction with the release of the revised model, the BMW iX3 will appear in the newest Marvel Studios movie. The iX3’s new features, which go into effect in September 2021, mostly change the outward look, however there are also modifications to the interior and equipment. The redesign aligns the BMW iX3 more aesthetically with the new BMW premium electric car family, which is made up of the BMW iX and BMW i4.
The BMW M8 sports vehicle in melbourne red (a BMW-exclusive color) as well as the BMW iX3 are both featured in the movie. In action-packed set pieces that highlight the strength and dexterity of both vehicles, both take center stage.
Simu Liu plays Shang-Chi in the Marvel Studios film “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings,” who gets sucked into the web of the enigmatic Ten Rings organization and forced to confront the history he believed he had left behind. Along with Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng, the movie also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s companion Katy, Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, and Ronny Chieng as Wenwu.
Destin Daniel Cretton is the film’s director, and Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz are its producers. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Charles Newirth are its executive producers. The movie’s screenplay was written by David Callaham, Destin Daniel Cretton, and Andrew Lanham. It will premiere in theaters throughout the world in September and in the United States on September 3, 2021.

How much did BMW pay Shang-Chi for product placement?
With nearly 7.5 minutes of screen time, BMW co-starred in Marvel’s SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS. The majority of this was produced by a 2021 iX3 at the end of the second act and a 2020 BMW M8 at the beginning. BMW benefited from exposure of the highest caliber. This indicates that the brand’s emblem was visible in almost 70% of the screen time and that its vehicles were very visible.
BMW’s placement in SHANG-CHI, the 11th most watched movie of 2021, was worth over $20 million in advertising.
BMW had a successful year in 2021 for product placement in motion pictures. It was the 11th most noticeable brand overall in 2021 films thanks to its inclusion in SHANG-CHI and product placements in BLACK WIDOW, F9, I CARE A LOT, and over a dozen other films.
In the film Shang-Chi, which BMW was used?
If people are unaware of the BMW iX3, then all the features, technology, and EV range in the world will be useless. As was already stated, BMW collaborated with Marvel Studios to secure product placement in Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings in order to raise awareness of their upcoming EV crossover.
There is far more product placement than just the BMW iX3 itself. The BMW M8 and the i8 are also seen in the movie. But the iX3 easily receives the most screen time. There is an exciting pursuit sequence with the BMW iX3 front and center, but we won’t give anything away here.
We have to presume that at least portion of the audience from Shang-Chi, which had a global box office gross of well over $100 million, will be interested in the iX3.
Is BMW a Marvel sponsor?
teamed up for the first time with Marvel Studios on “Black Widow,” which aired on July 9.
BMW’s X3 and 2 Series Gran Coupe will be featured with Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh.
At Space by BMW, a place for immersive experiences located at The Grove in Los Angeles, a celebration exhibit featuring the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is currently on display. The area will feature the most recent in BMW technology and be accessible to the public until November 30.
According to Jens Thiemer, senior vice president, customer and brand, BMW, the result of the partnership is “simply amazing.”
Our marketing plan includes Coupe playing significant roles in “Black Widow,” which adds powerful emotional impact to the message of these models “Thiemer claims in a press statement.
We are eager to continue working with Marvel Studios as emotive and thrilling stories take on a larger part in our brand marketing.
Natasha Romanoff, alias Black Widow, has to deal with her past as a spy and the strained relationships she left in her wake before joining the Avengers in the film.
is no better vehicle than a BMW to take us along on Natasha’s trip as she navigates her past, “said Mindy Hamilton, The Walt Disney Company’s senior vice president of relationship marketing.
How many automobiles were ruined in Shang-Chi?
The special effects coordinator for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings adds, “There was a lot of crashes and a lot of broken hearts, witnessing all those cars get wrecked, but it was extremely cool.” Joe Farrell, a different visual effects supervisor, added that the scene could only have been shot on San Francisco’s serpentine streets.
“That was a present for the citizens of San Francisco. When they first began to demolish portions of San Francisco’s actual streets, we knew that sequence would be really fantastic “Farrell said. He continued by saying that between two different takes of the sequence, 15 cars were wrecked by the production.
Disney+ now offers all the insane action scenes from Simu Liu and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
How does Katy drive her automobile in Shang-Chi?
After all, the movie starts with Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) and his close friend Katy (Awkwafina) working as valet parking attendants.
A
They valet park as well. Before they go from the path of usual driving and into, well. Amazing level of driving ability. A
According to Auto Evolution, the bright red car we first see in the film is a red BMW 8-Series Coupe as a result of Marvel’s agreement with BMW.
A
It’s understandable why Shang-Chi and Katy quarreled about who should be in the driver’s seat given the slow motion and high music beat.

Is Audi still a Marvel sponsor?
Since 2008, Audi has served as the primary automaker for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, providing Tony Stark with an unending supply of Audi R8s as well as other Avengers with vehicles. However, other automakers have also entered the MCU, like Lexus (Black Panther) and Hyundai. Could BMW be trying to step on its superhero neighbor’s toes in Bavaria?
The new BMW M8 Competition Coupe and the destruction of a BMW i8 may be seen in the latest teaser for the upcoming Marvel movie Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The Bimmers are given their close-up on the big screen in both occasions, highlighting who they are. However, this is not the only recent Marvel film that use BMWs.
The impending Black Widow movie, which has been delayed by roughly a year, is almost here, and its teaser also depicts the eponymous woman involved in a fast-paced action scenario with a BMW X3 M40i, with it once more being made abundantly apparent what the automobile is. Thus, instead of the more common Audi, BMW will appear in two of the future Marvel films.
Given that BMW is now the brand featured in the Mission Impossible movies, it is not strange to see it in such high-profile, big-budget action pictures. It is unexpected to see one of Audi’s primary rivals intruding on its domain, though. However, Tony Stark was the main reason Audi entered the Marvel universe, and he is no longer part of the MCU (very late spoiler alert). Therefore, it’s possible that without Stark, Audi will stop providing vehicles to superheroes and BMW will take over as the new super-powered premium brand.
In any case, given that Black Widow and Shang Chi will both be released in 2021, it appears that at least a few Marvel films this year will include some interesting Bimmers.
