I’m checking the market and looking for offers for my third row tickets. I attempted to encourage my wife to have a third child, but she refused. I can obtain photographs later this week since the seat is fresh new. I live in Pittsburgh and travel to the DMV once a week, but I have no idea how much it weighs.
Can a car that wasn’t designed with a third row seat be modified to have one?
I believe the floor pan is different, there are seat belts and a/c and heater vents, etc.
I agree with you; I believe the third row must be factory installed in your car. This is advantageous for someone who already has the choice and needs a new one because of damage or another circumstance.
You won’t likely be able to do that. Since you would be switching not only the third row but also the rear seats, vents, carpets, etc., the suspensions must all be suitable. Then, it goes without saying, you’d need to find someone in the Pittsburgh region who has the same interior color scheme as you have because shipping will be too expensive for most people. Anything is feasible, but there are numerous moving components.
Why sell? Simply keep them shut. I understand if you need to keep a spare elsewhere. When you sell the car, it can be worth a little more.
OP BMW was repeatedly asked if this could be retrofitted, and the only reason I decided against purchasing an X5M was the lack of a third row, which could also not be retrofitted.
Man, unless you find someone who wrecked theirs and can’t locate a junked one, this is not going to happen. Why not just explain what kind of upholstery it is instead of quoting the German word for it? Just wondering

Many folks desire leather seats in their new vehicle. The issue is that most automakers take advantage of this inclination to upsell their products. You may be requested to purchase a moonroof, an expensive radio, and a few other amenities if you try to purchase a new car with leather seats.
There is a workaround for people who desire leather but don’t want to pay for the premium or higher trim level. Any car can be equipped with aftermarket leather seats.
