Can Torque Reduction BMW?

Registered

I’ve recently done a lot of work on the vehicle, but this issue did not arise until after I fixed a coolant leak by replacing the o-rings in my cooling system.

The following codes are now shown on the dashboard of my car: 2738 Hot-Film air-mass flow sensor, 92 CAN torque interface, and 91 CAN torque reduction. The 2738 code-related service engine soon light is illuminated. Additionally, there is an illuminated transmission light on the dash near the gear and exclamation point symbols (I assume it has something to do with the torque reduction codes).

Now that it was functioning before, I’m guessing this is a straightforward fix and I must be missing something. After clearing the codes, the car idles quite erratically, and the problems return immediately. When I unplug the MAF power wire, the car continues to run. Despite the fact that the MAF sensor itself appears to be brand new, I also cleaned it. I’m having some trouble.

I apologize in advance if this has already been covered in another forum. Has anyone had this happen with their M340? especially when accelerating while in third gear. I’ve stated this a few times, but I’ve also heard others claim to have had a similar experience. It appears to occur in the Supra as well.

While going into third gear occasionally causes a little glitch in torque/acel, half gear is really quick. Should note that this occurs when I have the shifter set to manual or sport transmission while in sports +.

Most of the time, turning off DSC is helpful, and short shifting also seems to help with this. I’m not exactly sure what it is, therefore I’m keen to see if anyone has identified a repair or resolution.

Even while I am aware that obtaining a tune-up would probably assist, I’m still not convinced and would like to know if I have any other options. I had hoped that my new PS4 tires would also help to lessen this, but occasionally when I drive spiritedly, I still feel it.

It seems as though the car is briefly limiting its boost or torque, but not long enough to qualify as a “problem.” More of an interest. Additionally, that didn’t occur the two times I launched this car. Pay attention most when flooring it rather than starting from a complete stop.
