Where do D.C. United’s home games take place?
DC United’s brand-new stadium is called Audi Field. But more delays prevented the plans from moving forward until a formal agreement with the Washington DC council was declared in June 2015.
The new stadium’s construction began in 2017 and was finally finished during the 2018 MLS season, a little later than anticipated. The inaugural game at Audi Field, a league game against the Vancouver Whitecaps, was played a few days after the stadium’s formal opening date of July 9th (3-1).

Audi Field event staff will be inspected before entering the building each day when they arrive for work. This will consist of:
-Completion of a screening assessment, which involves asking workers about any recent symptoms, travel, or contacts with COVID-19 affected people.
-An affirmation that they have the necessary personal protective equipment and are wearing it.
Additionally, employees will receive training from the CDC on how to spot COVID-19 symptoms, and they won’t be allowed to report to work if they do. -Trash will be disposed of effectively and correctly to reduce the chance of contamination.
-Staff will ensure that they often wash their hands and will wear gloves at all times.
Many portions of the stadium may continue to be restricted or closed to the public in order to assist our employees with this operation. All employees who work in public spaces must also adhere to the protocols listed below.
-Using soap and water for at least 20 seconds to wash their hands often throughout their shift, including during every break.
All staff members will have access to hand sanitizer, which they will use in the absence of soap and water.
-Refreshing gloves periodically and as needed, and disposing of used gloves in a secure waste container.
All event personnel working at Audi Field will be expected to wear a mask or facial covering at all times while working, as advised by federal and local health regulators.
