Your Audi A3’s service interval display determines when the next service is necessary.
There are two levels of service interval display.
- Every time the ignition is turned on or off after a particular number of miles, a service reminder will show up in the instrument cluster display. The remaining distance or time will be briefly displayed.
- When your Audi A3 needs an inspection, an oil change, or both, the corresponding warning will sound. Inspection due!, Oil change due! After you turn the ignition on or off, a quick message that reads “Oil change and inspection due!” will appear.
The distinction between Audi A3s with sound system* or MMI* is made in the following description.
You can check the distance and duration till the subsequent oil change or subsequent service inspection in the MMI* (Fig. 2). Choose MENU button > Car > control button Systems* > Servicing & checks > Service intervals to accomplish this.
For the first 500 km or so after resetting the display or while your Audi A3 is brand-new, you cannot check the service interval.
If you change the oil yourself, it’s crucial that you reset the oil change display.
Choose the following options on the sound system to restart the display: Control button > SETUP button Reset the interval between oil changes.

What time is the next Audi inspection?
The dashboard of the majority of Audi vehicles is connected to an electronic computer system that alerts drivers when the engine needs maintenance. The dashboard instrument panel will show a sign in the shape of a wrench along with the words SERVICE DUE. The risk of engine damage, or worse, getting stuck on the side of the road or causing an accident, increases if the driver disregards a service light, such as the SERVICE DUE light.
To prevent the numerous late, inconvenient, and potentially costly repairs that result from neglect, it is crucial that you do all regular and advised maintenance on your car. Fortunately, the days of puzzling over service light triggers and running diagnostics are over. Audi’s mileage-based maintenance reminder system is a straightforward on-board computer system that informs owners of impending maintenance needs so they can take care of them quickly and easily. It establishes how many miles have been driven since the last service at the most fundamental level. Once the mileage-based reminder system is activated, the driver is alerted to make a service appointment for the vehicle.
What does an inspection for an Audi mean?
It’s a task that is on the service schedule; I didn’t ask them to perform anything. Since it was only at roughly 15k when the oil service was completed, the inspection was postponed until 19k.
A backup oil service and inspection service would typically be available. A standard inspection service includes an oil change along with part or all of the air, fuel, and spark plug filters. https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/servicing-maint…
The reason for the low cost is that I believe you only received the inspection service and an oil change. Your invoice’s failure to list parts, etc. astounds me. Why not get further information from the dealer?
