To end a call or stop the dialing process, press the End call control button.
When a new call comes in while you are already on the phone and want to answer it, choose Answer to put your current call on hold and take the new call. The call will be ignored if you choose that option.

Send tone sequence: You can directly enter DTMF tones (also known as “touch-tones”) using the number speller. The individual you are chatting to then receives these.
Depending on the type of connection being made and the mobile phone being used, the following choices might be offered during a call:
- When you are on the phone and another call is on hold, you can answer a new call: Choose Replace. The incoming call will take the place of the existing call.
- Putting a call on hold on hold: Choose and accept Mute.
- Choose Find contact > Call list/Directory/Favorites > a contact from the list to make a second call.
If you choose and then confirm this choice, the caller won’t be able to hear you anymore, but you will still be able to hear them. Choose and affirm Turn the microphone back on by turning it on.
Put a call on hold or resume it later by retrieving it from the hold queue. To continue a call, choose and acknowledge it.
Transferring a call to a mobile device: Pick and affirm To transfer your current call from the MMI to your mobile phone, select Transfer call to mobile phone.
Obtain call*: Important: There must be an active call. To transfer the current call from your mobile phone back to the MMI, choose and confirm Retrieve call.
You can switch between two calls on your phone (one of them will be on hold at any given time). To end any active calls, choose End call. Pressing the right control button > Resume will resume the call that is now on hold, which will still be in the hold queue.
One caller on hold and up to five callers can participate in a conference (depending on the mobile network service provider).
- To include more people: Choose Call list/Directory/Favorites from the left control button, then choose a name from the list.
- Choose the appropriate control button:
- Put everyone currently attending the conference on pause.
- Resuming: To continue the meeting with all attendees.
- Remove conference participant: You have the option to eliminate a conference participant. The conversation with this caller will come to an end.
- Join conference: The person you just called can join the conference.

Additionally, the MMI’s directory is automatically updated with the contacts from the mobile device. Depending on how many contacts are kept on the phone, this could take a while.
A notice will display requesting you to replace the contacts from one of the phones if there isn’t any memory left for directories and you connect another mobile phone. Only the contacts from the mobile phone and the local MMI memory (public) will be accessible Link if you choose the option Restricted use of telephone.
- The MMI can only connect to Bluetooth in order to make and receive phone calls (Handsfree).
- Devices connected through Bluetooth only need to link once. When they are in range and the ignition is on, any devices that have already been bonded to the MMI system are immediately attached.
- By approving the MMI connection on your cell phone, you can hasten the automatic connection.
- The MMI system allows you to bond many mobile devices, although only one connection is active at once.
- When a new Bluetooth device is connected to the MMI system, any active Bluetooth connections that are currently established are terminated.
- When you get out of the car, the Bluetooth connection between the system and the phone automatically ends.
