I recently purchased an A1 with a sat nav but it is not activated, and I have just received a quotation to get it done.

Unfortunately, I don’t believe mine has Audi Connect, so from what I’ve read, I would have to pay to upgrade it at a later time. Given the cost, I’m not sure if I want it to do it now.

Does the Audi A1 have a GPS?
One of the major selling points of the A1 is that a fantastic infotainment system is included as standard.
Even the entry-level 9-inch center touchscreen is larger than most top-of-the-line rivals and has attractive, colorful graphics. The Audi Smartphone Interface allows you to utilize the navigation apps on your Apple or Android smartphone on the large screen of the car in its place of the sat-nav.
When you’re parked, the screen is responsive, understands smartphone movements like pinching and swiping, and is simple to use, but it can be challenging to press the correct button. Uncomfortably, the A1 lacks both the Mini’s rotary control dial between the two front seats and the haptic feedback you get in larger Audis that simulates pressing a real button.

Audi boasts that its 11 speakers truly bring music to life and that it is the only surround sound audio installed in a tiny car. The Comfort Pack also includes heated front seats and rear parking sensors in addition to the improved sound.
Can an Audi A1 have navigation?

Old-school Audi has teamed up with TomTom and released its own Sat/Nav system.
The HD version, which costs a staggering $1500, is truly only available as a factory-installed option; it might be added as an aftermarket upgrade, but, like with Audi, doing so would be prohibitively expensive.
I’ve had my A1 for almost three months, and whether intentionally or not, I enabled the SD card version.
In retrospect, I should have saved myself 300 and purchased Garmin’s full HD Google Map StreetView system, which costs less than 200 at Halfords.
Audi’s much more expensive SD card system offers only the benefit of route guidance in the center readout, which is simply not worth the additional $300.
The Garmin system I mentioned comes with all the bells and whistles and full HD, plus free upgrades for as long as the system lasts.
Audi is charging to update the system again in a few years, and we know how much that will probably cost: LOTS.
For under $200, the Garmin will be a tried-and-true joy to use system, and if Sat/Nav is a necessary piece of equipment, get the Garmin since screen resolution, very wanted Google Mapping and Streetview, and a ton of other nice features are standard.
A full HD Tom Tom or Garmin can be had for much less money than paying approximately $500 to Audi to activate an OK but fairly ordinary Victorian technology SD card system.
Does Apple CarPlay exist on every Audi A1?
Only the SE and S-Line trim levels are offered, but every vehicle includes a fully digital instrument cluster and a multifunction steering wheel as standard equipment. A Bang & Olufsen sound, wireless phone charging, and Audi’s MMI navigation plus systemwhich combines social media access, real-time traffic information, and Google Earthare also available options.
The 2019 A1 shares a basis with the VW Polo and SEAT Ibiza and is only offered as a five-door Sportback. It will be made by SEAT at the company’s Martorell factory and is bigger, wider, and lower than the previous design. The dimensions of the second-generation A1 are 4,030mm long, 1,740mm wide, and 1,410mm height, which is 50mm shorter than those of the Polo.
The single-frame grille and three air inlets below the bonnet of the new supermini were inspired by the Audi Sport Quattro from the 1980s, one of Audi’s most recognizable vehicles. For the first time, brand-new full-LED headlamps are now standard equipment on all A1 variants, and alloy wheels with a diameter of up to 18 inches are also an option.
