When was the ej1 Civic released?
Honda built cars under the fifth generation Civic name from 1991 to 1995. On September 9, 1991, it made its debut in Japan. It received the Car of the Year Japan title for the second time at its debut. The fifth generation of automobiles had larger, more aerodynamic bodywork, with wheelbases that were 257 cm (101.3 inches) for three-door hatchbacks and 262 cm (103.2 inches) for four-door sedans, respectively. That seems like a lot, especially in light of the fact that a more recent EP3 Type-R based on the seventh-gen Civic can be purchased for as low as $2500. However, if you get an EK9, you’ll be traveling around in a vehicle that is far more upscale and should retain its value really well.

The fact that the 9th-gen engine produced 201 horsepower as opposed to the 8th-gen power plant’s 197 horsepower is another advantage for it. Although there is not much of a power difference between the two engines, the K24 produces its maximum power at 7,000 rpm as opposed to 7,800 rpm for the K20. As a result, you don’t need to rev the 9th-gen Si to its absolute maximum to get the most out of its robust power band.
