Toyota Motor Europe has joined several other automakers in choosing to flatten out its logo as part of a new visual identity designed by The&Partnership that also ditches its wordmark.
Toyota’s Europe division has a new logo and branding that removes the automaker’s name and flattens its previous, 3D design in favor of a more straightforward, 2D mark composed of three overlapping ovals. The new logo and branding were developed by the company The&Partnership.
According to The&Partnership and Toyota, this modification recognized the brand’s visual recognition among European consumers, which means it no longer requires a clear statement of its name to be recognized.
