To prepare for the construction of the 2022 Tundra, TMMTX announced an investment of $391 million in 2019, bringing its total expenditure to more than $3.1 billion. With the support of the investment, TMMTX was able to expand its facilities by 141,000 linear feet, or 470 football fields, in order to accommodate new processes and cutting-edge technology in order to deliver the revamped powerhouse truck to devoted clients. This includes getting ready to construct the hybrid electric Tundra, the brand’s 12th electrified car, which will go on sale in the first quarter of 2022.
