The head of the Texas Package Stores Association, Greg Wonsmos, said there hasn’t been any demand from customers for Sunday hours, despite claims to the contrary made by those who favor lifting the ban that doing so will benefit consumers.
Bill Wolters, president of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association, prefers it that way because there are currently no plans to remove the prohibitions against vehicle dealerships operating on weekends.
