Citroen discontinued the diesel option for the C1 a few years ago, so there is only one engine available. The only remaining engine is a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, 68bhp Toyota petrol engine. Since it has a manual gearbox and achieves 65.7 mpg and 99 g/km of CO2, it is exempt from road tax. The stats aren’t quite as impressive if you choose an automatic, but at 62.8 mpg and 104 g/km CO2, they’re still fairly respectable.
