When done correctly, changing the tire on your Toyota Sequoia is a straightforward procedure. Make sure your tire change kit is complete and functional before you hit the road. It is impossible to change a tire when one lacks the necessary tools. A jack stand and a jack wrench that also works as a lug nut wrench should be included in your pack. The use of these two items is necessary in order to change a Toyota Sequoia tire. You must also have a standard or full-sized spare tire that is in perfect condition. The spare tire and jack kit are kept in the Sequoia under the trunk panel.
Your Sequoia’s spare tire and tire-changing equipment can be found underneath the trunk panel.
Attach your lug nut wrench to each lug nut and crank it counterclockwise to loosen the lug nuts on your tire. To prevent your tire from coming off, these nuts are extremely tightened. Each lug nut will need to be loosened with a lot of force.
Place the designated jack stand location below your car. Your jack should be positioned in front of or behind each tire in a specific location. This location is in front of the back axle with the back tires. This location for front tires is behind the front axle. Never jack up your Sequoia somewhere other than the designated location.
By securing the hooked end of your lug nut wrench to the tow ring on your jack, you may raise your jack stand by clockwise rotating the lug nut wrench. Your jack will rise with each spin of your wrench.
Reapply and tighten your spare tire’s lug nuts. You won’t be able to get enough torque to safely tighten the lug nuts while the car is still jacked.
By rotating your jack counterclockwise as described in step four, you can lower the car.
