Best Model Year
The Toyota Yaris’s best model year is 2020, although any model after the 2010 model year won’t be too bad either.
Due to the resolution of the paint and air bag issues from prior years, the number of complaints drastically decreased after 2010.
However, the 2020 model would be our top pick as it comes standard with all the newest features and improvements, including smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Is the Yaris a wise purchase?
Toyota has experienced its fair share of recalls over the past few years, but due to the company’s prompt response to possible issues, owner confidence is still high. Despite only placing 59th overall out of 100 vehicles in our 2019 Driver Power customer satisfaction poll, the Yaris performed admirably in critical categories like reliability and operating expenses.

Only 10.5% of respondents to our most recent Driver Power satisfaction survey said their car developed one or more problems in the first year of ownership, placing the Toyota Yaris in 59th place. Toyota placed 10th overall out of 30 manufacturers.

The Yaris is already a reasonably family-friendly five-door vehicle, but this version wins for its excellent power-to-efficiency ratio (0-62 mph in 11.0 seconds and 55.4 mpg) and selection of practical safety and convenience features (front parking sensors and a sat nav on top of standard Icon’s reversing camera, air conditioning, and road sign assist feature).

They do, however, occasionally show up on the used market. Along with a potent 210hp engine, it has retuned suspension, a lower ride height, and bigger tires.

Is Toyota Yaris maintenance affordable?
Between the first service and this one, my 2019 new ZR and I have covered 7,000 miles, totaling 15,000 miles. I was hit with a $800 fee for replacement front tires that failed a WOF. They didn’t check the pressure before replacing them, even though the alignment was perfect. Apparently, this is because it is a “performance automobile.” Neither Toyota nor Albany Toyota would budge from their position that the problem was due to poor upkeep or driver behavior. Without any issues, I used my previous ZR for five years. terrible service

Had it for twelve years. It runs great and I’m happy with how little mileage it has even after 12 years. None to report. Going on…
I don’t mind the sound of the wind.
I don’t need to utilize it as a moving van like other people do; overall, it’s a car that gets me from A to B and moves along without any issues.

It would not be appropriate to comment in great detail given that I have only owned this automobile for a few weeks. It’s a cute little car that is proving to be dependable (as I would expect from a Toyota). We chose it because of its dependability and affordability. The 1300 cc engine is, however, underpowered for this region of the world with its many hills, and as a result, the fuel economy falls short of what I had anticipated. Still, life is what it is.

I’ve owned this automobile since it was new. Thus, it has 12 years. in addition to brake pads and tire replacement. a wonderful, affordable, comfortable, and reliable vehicle. As we are now in our 70s, the car is quite easy for us to get into and out of because the seats are really comfy and the car is little higher off the ground than many other automobiles. Since we keep it in a garage, it is in excellent shape. It simply dislikes slopes a lot!!!!!

Reliability receives high points because we have had this automobile for 10 years and it has very low operating costs, which is essential while on a tight budget. We paid a little bit more than other auto buyers, but it was well worth it.
