Follow these instructions to replace the oil:
- Look for the drain oil plug by climbing underneath the Corolla. It is located beneath the engine.
- Slide the drain plug with the oil collection container underneath. The drain plug should be loosened using a socket wrench and a 14-mm socket.

- Check the dipstick after you’ve filled it to make sure you have the right amount of oil.
The maintenance light needs to be reset, last but not least. Turn the key to the accessory (ACC) position to accomplish that. Turn off the key after setting the odometer to mileage rather than trip. As you turn the key back to ACC, press and hold the button you used to switch to trip. The light should blink while you are holding the button down.
