Which truck’s bed is the shortest?
The new Hyundai Santa Cruz has the smallest truck bed that will be offered in 2022. The Ford Maverick’s bed is more than six inches longer than this Hyundai’s bed. The Hyundai bed is 53.9 inches wide overall and 42.7 inches wide at the wheel wells. The bed is 48 inches long at the bed entrance but 52.1 inches long at the floor since it is 19.2 inches tall and has a sloping forward wall.
Hyundai is still reporting the volume of its bed as TBD due of its distinctive design. The volume of the Hyundai Santa Cruz bed will range from 29 to 31 cubic feet, depending on the inclination of the front wall and the size of the wheel wells.
The Hyundai truck bed makes up for its lack of size with cutting-edge usefulness. The tailgate’s hinges have been softened by Hyundai, causing it to open slowly. The Santa Cruz furthermore has an in-bed trunk with a drain plug. Although this trunk is smaller than the Ridgeline’s, it can still be used to store a cooler or a pair of backpacks.
The walls of the bed on the Santa Cruz have two storage spaces that are slightly larger than an automobile battery. Although clients have the option, the righthand compartment is equipped with a 115-volt outlet.
A locking tonneau cover is standard on all Santa Cruz models. In addition, Hyundai put LED work lights in the Santa Cruz’s bed and added steps to the corner of the rear bumper.
What distinguishes the Tundra’s Double Cab and Crew Cab models?
The Toyota Tundra’s Double Cab and CrewMax models differ primarily in that the Double Cab has less space in the back seat. The occupants in the backseat have 8.3 less inches of legroom.
Both vehicles can hold 5 passengers and have 2 sets of fully functional doors. However, the Double Cab’s back doors are a little bit smaller.
The back doors on the Double Cab are smaller than those on the CrewMax, as seen in the image above.
They significantly improved the design over earlier iterations and included conventional handles as opposed to more recessed and difficult-to-use ones (like in the 2021 model below).
Since I don’t personally own this truck, the video below does an excellent job of demonstrating how the two cab sizes differ.
