Well, there are a lot of engines available for the X5 of the E70 generation. Each gasoline engine has a good number of issues. However, we advise staying away from the 50i model equipped with the N63 engine. It is the original N63 engine from the E70, which had a lot of problems. The F15 and G05’s later N63 engines offer a notable reliability improvement. The N52 and N62 engines with natural aspiration are probably your best chance for dependability.
