Have you ever considered what might occur if Zeus stepped down from Mount Olympus?
In a funny new Super Bowl 2022 commercial for its all-electric vehicle, the BMW iX, BMW recreated the Greek god Zeus with a little help from Arnold Schwarzenegger as Zeus and Salma Hayek as his wife, Hera.
Zeus is navigating life as he moves from Mount Olympus to Palm Springs during the 30-second spot. His efforts to acclimate to retired life on Earth include learning to use the many electric powered devices he must now use in place of relying solely on his own abilities.
Zeus may not have anticipated everything about life on Earth. He can’t even enjoy a swim in his pool or a round of golf without someone asking him for help to jump start their golf carts or yard tools with a little of his magic touch. At one point, he struggles to operate a microwave by manually punching the buttons.
“I’m done now! I’m through with this location! “He says in frustration at one point, which Hera finds hilarious. The city’s electricity is mistakenly lost as he attempts to operate the light switch in his house in the following scene, which suggests that his rage has grown.
Hera resolves to buy her husband an all-electric vehicle after observing his mounting dissatisfaction with life on Earth.

Since the 1970s, when Arnold Schwarzenegger won the Mr. Olympia physical competition year after year and rose to fame as a bodybuilder before transitioning to acting, people have been comparing him to a Greek deity. It becomes official with the Terminator actor’s most recent performance as Zeus, the lightning deity.
You can now watch the complete advertisement, which also stars Salma Hayek as Zeus’ wife, the goddess Hera, and which Schwarzenegger first revealed in a brief sketch where a barista fails to pronounce his name correctly.
The king and queen of the gods (dressed in full sword-and-sandal fashion) decide that it is time for them to retire and move from Mount Olympus to somewhere a bit more commonplace: Palm Springs, in the Super Bowl ad. Schwarzenegger’s Zeus, however, finds himself having to utilize his lightning skills over and over to help their new friends and neighbors with their finicky equipment, to his increasing degrees of annoyance. It’s not all golf and walking their pet Pegasus, either.
Hayek’s Hera gives Zeus a new car because she thinks he needs a “pick-me-up”: the BMW iX, “the ultimate electric driving machine,” which won’t need any lightning strikes to start. The final image of the TV ad shows Zeus and Hera driving lazily through Palm Springs while humming “Electric Avenue” by Eddy Grant.
It’s pretty cool to see Schwarzenegger and Hayek playing the mythological figures on screen, even if it is only for a brief period of time. Anyone who knows even the slightest bit about ancient Greek mythology will be able to tell you that Zeus and Hera were not the sort of couple to comfortably retire together—infidelity, illegitimate children, and blood-soaked vengeance were more their thing.

Who Plays Hera, Zeus’ Wife, in the Super Bowl Ad for BMW?
BMW unveiled their Super Bowl commercial, which will air during the 56th game, in advance.
Nearly seven years have passed since BMW’s previous Super Bowl commercial aired.

A new graphic for the upcoming BMW commercial for Super Bowl Sunday features Salma Hayek as Hera. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a former California governor and actor, Ralf Moller, and Hayek have also been confirmed by their respective BMW promotional posters. With Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel supporting the BMW i3, BMW’s most recent Super Bowl television advertisement ran in 2015.
Hayek has experience portraying characters from Greek mythology; most recently, she played Ajak, a character based on the Greek legendary hero Ajax, in Chloe Zhao’s Eternals. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s fourth phase film, Eternals, received mixed reviews from critics and viewers. However, Eternals broke records for Disney+ when it launched the subscription program last month, despite the dismal box office performance for an MCU movie.
Hayek publishes a preview poster for the next BMW USA Super Bowl commercial on Instagram. Hayek admits that she is quite excited to star in her first BMW commercial and to support the brand’s new electric iX car. She is seen in the seductive billboard wearing exquisitely embroidered golden metallic clothing and turquoise jewelry. The billboard also shows Hayek with a golden ray surrounding her, akin to the lightning Schwarzenegger had on his post. The poster is below:
Prior to Hayek’s post, Schwarzenegger had teased a mysterious poster of him as Zeus on Twitter, leading many to speculate that it might be a movie or a Super Bowl commercial. Schwarzenegger as Zeus was included in a brief teaser film that BMW released earlier today, along with Hayek’s poster, officially confirming the Super Bowl ad. This will be Hayek’s first time working with the Terminator actor; she will portray the wife of Zeus and the goddess of marriage. Even though the advertisement will only last a short while, Hayek has reportedly inked a multi-film deal with Marvel Studios, so this may not be the last time she portrays a character from Greek mythology.
For its exciting ads that frequently include well-known celebrities, the Super Bowl has become a long-anticipated event for many fans over the years. Unfortunately, no other details about Hayek’s part in the next BMW project were provided by either her or the teaser. The commercial will therefore debut on February 13 during the Super Bowl LVI game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams, and viewers will have to tune in to see Hayek’s portrayal of Hera.

For their Super Bowl 2022 commercial, BMW has some huge A-list talent!
In the humorous new commercial, in which the gods descend to dwell on Earth, the automotive business enlisted Arnold Schwarzenegger and Salma Hayek to play Zeus and Hera.
“When Zeus retires from Mount Olympus and moves to Palm Springs, he is unimpressed by all things electric on the planet and turns into a shell of his former self. However, just when we give up hope, his wife Hera introduces him to the all-electric BMW iX and assists powerful Zeus in regaining his spark “The advertiser provides a description.
The vehicle shown in the advertisement is the iX M60, which “obtains an estimated range of up to 280 miles” and “comes equipped with xDrive—intelligent all-wheel drive with a rear bias for sporty driving.”
For the forthcoming BMW commercial, which will debut during Super Bowl LVI, Salma Hayek transforms into a Greek goddess. Hera will be portrayed by Hayek, who will appear alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ralf Moller.
Hayek previously played the role of Ajak in Chloe Zhao’s film Eternals. a persona modeled after Ajax, the legendary Greek hero. The anticipation for the posters increased when Schwarzenegger teased fans on social media with an image of him as Zeus.
Some fans claimed that the former bodybuilder, California governor, and Terminator actor dressed as the god of the sky from ancient Greek mythology to promote a business on the eagerly anticipated Super Bowl Sunday.
Since Bryant Gumbel and Katie Couric promoted the BMW i3 in 2015, Salma, Arnold, and Ralf will be the most recent celebrities to appear in BMW advertisements during the Super Bowl.
I’ve loved my time in the NFL, but I need to devote more time and effort to other things that demand it, he said. The seven-time Super Bowl champion and ex-football player praised his agents, wife, children, parents, trainer Alex Guerrero, and “every single Bucs staffer and employee.”
In the BMW Super Bowl ad, Salma Hayek plays Hera and Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Zeus.
In a Super Bowl commercial for BMW, Salma Hayek portrays his sister-wife Hera, the goddess of marriage, women, and childbirth, and Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Zeus, the god who can shoot lightning bolts out of his fingertips.
It turns out that the gods are moving to Palm Springs, California, after leaving Mount Olympus.
In his golden years, Schwarzenegger’s Zeus assists a neighbor by zapping their garden equipment with lightning, but he has trouble using a microwave.
Hayek’s Hera leads the way and exclaims, “It’s not rocket science,” before reminding him to go for a walk with their micro-winged horse, “Peggy.”
Until Hera brings Zeus the BMW iX, an electric vehicle that he can probably charge himself, Zeus isn’t feeling life in the slow lane.
Zeus and Hera are in a car in BMW’s Big Game commercial, while Arnold and Salma are together.
This year’s Super Bowl advertisement from BMW features Salma Hayek and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even though it was hinted at last week, the 60-second spot is different from the teaser, which served only to hype up viewers for yet another amusing ad.
It may not make you cry like Kia’s robodog commercial, but it still manages to amuse and delight. On February 13, 2022, the third commercial break of the first quarter of the game will feature the one-minute long advertisement. The SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the home of the Chargers and Rams, will host this year’s Big Game.
The new campaign for BMW was created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and it was directed by Bryan Buckley, a writer and director who has received two Oscar nominations. The New York Times dubbed him King of the Super Bowl after he had helmed more than 65 advertisements for The Big Game since 2000.
In addition to Salma Hayek Pinault playing the role of Hera, the Queen of the Gods in Greek mythology, the advertisement also includes Arnold Schwarzenegger as Zeus, the Greek god of lightning. The two are retired in Palm Springs, California, where the scene is set.
The monotony of retirement may set in quickly, and it only gets worse for Greek gods. Thankfully, the brand-new BMW iX enters the picture. Even if it’s cliché, Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant begins to play. On our first viewing, we considered it to be humorous because the venerable Arnold always manages to improve upon whatever he touches.
It’s important to note that this is Salma Hayek Pinault’s first-ever Super Bowl advertisement, and it’s the first time Hayek and Schwarzenegger have appeared together in a national (or international, if you count YouTube) commercial.
In case you have been living under a rock and have only now discovered an Internet connection, you should be aware that the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals will square off in the 2022 Super Bowl. The Big Game will feature the customary pregame show, halftime show, and commercial breaks.
