The only USB port I can locate on my 2015 F30 is under the arm rest. Is this true, or are there any other answers concealed. (Where is the glove box…

Hi everybody, I just purchased an E90 with iDrive. Although it features an AUX in, it lacks a USB port. I want to use a USB flash drive to play music in mp3 format (thumb drive). What must I do for it to function?
My iPod is not an Ipod. But I believe the iDrive and the iPod are compatible. No USB port is present. I am unable to use a USB flash drive or copy MP3 files to the iDrive since I lack a USB connector. I’m getting a headache from this. I’m seeking for a solution from a third party.
The UBS slot is located on the right side of the glove box on the LCI with I-drive. If it is the same as before the LCI, you might need a torch to locate it.
Apart from the one under the arm rest, which is blocked, I can’t see any USB ports.
The USB port is located within the glove box on the right side of my 2009 E90LCI with Idrive and GPS. You might need a lamp to find it because it’s a little difficult to see. I’m not sure if GPS or water quality will make a difference.
1. Does it not support USB music playback? or do I have to import to the HDD?
Does it support the iPhone and iPod?
The music must be imported to the HDD. I believe it doesn’t support the iPhone or iPod, although I could be wrong. Simply study your driver’s manual to learn everything there is to know.
You’re lucky. The USB port in the glove box is nowhere to be found. Can you provide me with a picture of the area? To be sure I didn’t miss it, I simply want to check. Thanks.
It appears to be a harness. The component might be retrofittable. After purchasing the part, you would probably have to pay BMW to have your car programmed, or you may find a programmer.
I’m not sure if you require coding, so check your alternatives. Call BMW and inquire about it; they can provide an estimate to determine whether you require coding.
What location is the USB port in a 2018 BMW 3-Series?
On the 2017 340i xDrive with the navigation and Apple Car Play, how many and where are the USB ports for charging an iPhone?
While searching, I came across some threads mentioning the existence of two; one was in the middle armrest, which I am certain I saw at the dealer, but the one that was described “under the AC controls?
… There was not one there that I can recall. I am especially referring to the USB Ports, even though there are two “Lighter Sockets”—one in the cup holder and one under the glove box on the left—in the vehicle. Thanks. Do you know what the object is that is supposed to be underneath the AC controls on the dash? Many thanks
In pre-LCI cars, there is a blank, curving panel that curves downward toward the ashtray and cupholders under the air conditioning panel. On the same panel, closer to the passenger side, of the new automobiles, there is a single USB port.
The normal one is located inside the front armrest. The 6NW Wireless Charging option is represented by the second one down below the AC controls. Both, I think, are 2.1A.
Thank you for the details. It seems odd that automobiles without the wireless option only have one USB port while those with it provide two USB ports.
I believe that whether or not you choose the wireless option, it should come with two USB ports, just like BMW once did. Some cars even have more than two. You have a backup USB port in case a USB port fails, is damaged, or goes bad in an emergency. I find it unbelievable that they removed the one that was previously in the glove box.
How many USB ports are there in a BMW 3-Series?
Take use of the BMW 3-Series’ most recent infotainment features, including the voice control, Bluetooth navigation, satellite radio settings, two USB ports, and touchscreen display.

This enables playing music from external devices through the car’s internal speakers.
Where is my car’s USB port?
Depending on the car type, the USB port in your vehicle may be found in the glove box, the center console, or the armrest compartment. You may plug in media players, memory sticks, and charging devices with the USB port (if supported)
How can I use my phone to connect to my 2018 BMW 3 Series?

The phone appears in the device list after being linked with the vehicle. Only pairing a phone while the car is still is permitted for your protection.

Has the 2011 BMW 3 Series Bluetooth?
My 2011 328i sedan comes with the Value Package and Premium Package. The vehicle has ENHANCED BLUETOOTH with BMW Assist.
I should be able to play music from my iPhone through bluetooth, several people have told me. I tried looking for it but was unsuccessful. Does anyone have the necessary skills?
No, however it makes Bluetooth audio streaming pairing simpler. Try experimenting with your Bluetooth audio settings. In my car with iDrive, connecting my “phone” via Bluetooth didn’t instantly connect the A2DP feature for some strange reason.
There are no Bluetooth audio settings that I can see. Is there a manual or a set of instructions someplace that I could use to test that out?
Do you have a copy of your build sheet handy? Combox (option code 6VC), which is necessary for Bluetooth streaming, may not be included if you don’t purchase iDrive. I suppose setting it up without iDrive, if it’s even possible, would involve selecting BT Audio as a source on your stereo and then pairing your phone at that point. Or maybe the pairing interface is somewhere under Settings? If you see that listed or don’t have your build sheet but still want to investigate. Sorry, but since I haven’t used the non-iDrive stereo much, my recollection and speculation are quite rusty.
I’m not sure if this will be of any use to you. To stream music through my iPhone whenever I turned on my Bluetooth, I had to manually enable Bluetooth Audio in the phone’s settings. However, I do drive an idrive vehicle.
Connect the phone to the vehicle. Once a pair is successful, double check that the phone and audio boxes are both selected in the display. then press the CD control button. Choose your phone, and Bluetooth playback should begin. That’s how mine operates just fine.
Make sure your automobile was produced in 2010 or later as this was introduced for 2011. You couldn’t transmit audio via Bluetooth if it was earlier.
Do BMW stores exist?
There are 4 power outlets in the automobile, according to page 139 of the manual. 1) The trunk; 2) The front console behind the cup holders; 3) The region behind the back seats; and 4) The area beneath the glove box.
The power outlet under the glove box is nowhere to be found. It is not a power outlet, but there is a hole that is the right size for a USB vehicle adaptor.
In the spots you specified, including the one by the glove box, my M4 has four power outlets.
There are a few differences between the handbook and the car’s features (I guess for Canadians only).
1) No power outlet underneath the glove box
2) According to the handbook, the doors will lock, the windows will close (if they are open), and the mirrors will fold in when you press the ridge on the door handle. The mirrors don’t fold in, as I’ve discovered.
Cool. did not understand how to raise the window. So the windows will close on their own when I lock the door using the ridges? Do I have to continue to touch it?
I always feel like I really screwed up relocating to the US after reading you guys. I’m about to sprint for the border. Once again, I like your humor, bear foods.

We’ll keep an eye out for Canadian border officials. They resemble the Texas border patrol exactly, with the exception that they lack firearms and, well, don’t exist.
