Where Is The Fuse Box On A BMW R1200Gs?

There are no fuse boxes on the R1200GS motorcycles. It is managed by the electronic fuses-equipped CanBus system. When one trips, it automatically resets after 15 minutes, but if the related issue is not fixed, it will trip once more. Error codes, which are saved in the ECU, will reveal the precise cause of the fuse trip.

These bikes lack a factory fuse box. The CanBus system from BMW is used, which automatically controls current flow and turns off overcurrent circuits.

Start by connecting a volt meter to the heated seat plug and checking to see if any voltage comes out of it. Then check the heated seat coil’s resistance using an ohm meter to see if there is an open circuit.

Could someone please post a picture of where the fuse box is for my 2015 R1200R? I have looked in the owner’s manual and tried to locate it, but I’m still not sure. I am aware that it is under the seat, but I cannot see what the handbook depicts. Not a great lover of disassembling things, maybe (from experience…). I only need to know where it is because (as of yet) nothing is wrong.
