New BMW M2 pricing and availability
Although there has been no official announcement from BMW regarding the release date of the new M2 Coupe, it is expected to occur in 2022 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of BMW’s M division.
Prices are also currently being kept a secret, but don’t be shocked if the new M2 turns out to be a touch more expensive than the outgoing model.
Standard M2 Coupes could cost more than PS50,000 (about PS5,000 more than the current M2), and the high-performance Competition and CS models will be even more expensive.
The sports coupe will initially only have rear-wheel drive.
The new M2 (G87), the last model from the performance division to forgo electrification, will be released next month, signaling the beginning of the end for BMW M vehicles powered exclusively by internal combustion engines. The sports coupe, which has been heavily teased in recent months, has resurfaced in a brand-new official preview showing an expensive variant with M Performance Parts. The rear wing, center-mounted exhaust tips, and bronze 1000M wheels are noteworthy improvements.
Prior to a 2023 market debut, our colleagues at BMWBLOG have it on good authority that the world premiere is set for October 11 (October 12 in Europe). The BMW San Luis Potosi Plant will be the only place in the world where the sports coupe will be built, and the first customer deliveries are expected in the spring of 2019. For the time being, just a rear-wheel-drive configuration will be available as we wait to see if those rumors about an M2 with xDrive will come true.
Model from 2023
MotorAuthority has stated that the new M2 won’t make its official debut until the summer of 2022. According to rumors, the new sports car will begin manufacturing in December of next year, and it will go on sale in 2023. This should give BMW’s M Division some time to develop and some breathing room for the ordinary 2 Series. Thankfully, the 382 horsepower M240i will soon be available to serve as a bridge for clients.
The New BMW M2 Maintains the Manual and Gets a Significant Performance Upgrade
BMW claims to produce the best driving vehicle. The M2, a high-performance variant of the 2 Series Coupe, may be the purest distillation of that idea. BMW for the model year 2023.
BMW has recently released a fresh teaser photograph of the new sports vehicle testing on the circuit at the Salzburgring in Austria and additional information about what we can expect, beyond the fact that it won’t have a big kidney grille. We previously knew that it would be the last pure-combustion M model from BMW.
A power increase of almost 450 horsepower over the normal 2 Series’ peak output of 382 hp using the same 3.0-liter inline-six Toyota utilizes for the Supra would be significant.
A carbon-fiber roof and carbon-fiber bucket seats for the driver and passenger were mentioned by BMW as two optional features for the M2.
According to BMW, the 2023 M2 will make its world debut in October. In April 2023, the M2 will be released on the market. We don’t yet know the exact date of the American release because that information was obtained from BMW’s foreign media website.

BMW ceased producing the M2?
The days of pure internal combustion engines are numbered as laws, restrictions, and deadlines are set for the sale of fossil fuel-fueled automobiles around the world. Even for BMW’s renowned M division, led by CEO Frank van Meel, electrification is already in the near future.
The M division’s electric future, which will be realized in production form by the end of 2022, will be introduced with the BMW XM. Van Meel has stated that the upcoming 2023 BMW M2 will be the last M vehicle to be powered only by an internal combustion engine, if you’re wondering which of the M vehicles will be the final one.
Is there a BMW M2 for 2022?
The next BMW M2, one of the most anticipated sports vehicles of 2022, will have an exciting new engine and a large number of carbon fiber components.
A facelift was applied to the first-generation BMW M2, which has been in production since 2016. BMW hasn’t upgraded the model for the previous two years despite the fact that it has been one of the most acclaimed and well-liked BMW sports cars in a long time. This is why the news that BMW would release an upgraded and redesigned model of this popular sports automobile is so thrilling. Due to the fact that the second-generation BMW M2 is sure to incorporate elements from the current-generation M3 and M4, it is a fantastic choice for the majority of drivers.
In order to deliver more power and dependability, BMW has persisted with its storied S58 engine, unlike other European sports cars that have chosen 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines. Continue reading to learn why the BMW M2 will be the most stylish European sports car of 2022 if you aren’t already sold on it.
A BMW M2’s top speed.
The BMW M2 Competition is a rather powerful vehicle, even in stock form. With a 3.0-liter inline-six engine under the hood producing 405 horsepower (302 kilowatts), it has a top speed of 155 mph and can accelerate from a stop to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in under 4.2 seconds (250 kph). However, the vehicle is already capable of doing that.
The S55 engine from BMW powers the M2 Competition and can manage astounding power levels when used properly. The model you can see in the video above is producing 850 horsepower (600 kW), which is almost twice as much power as it did at the factory thanks to multiple hardware upgrades and new software. The HC-Performance crew completed it, and this video demonstrates its full potential.
The driver of this customized M2 Competition unleashes the wrath of the hot hatch along an open stretch of the Autobahn, reaching speeds of up to 186 mph (300 kph). And it is absolutely amazing how quickly the car accelerates from 50 mph (80 kph).
But there’s something we should mention. Even though the car is traveling at an incredible rate of speed, it seems to be bouncing and sliding sideways. According to the video, it appears to be unstable at times and even dangerous to drive; possibly some additional suspension adjustments would be a big improvement over how it is now.
Nevertheless, this is unquestionably one of the fastest BMWs we’ve seen on the Autobahn in recent months. Assuming it makes it through the grueling Autobahn runs, it will be quite interesting to see how this M2 Competition performs on the drag strip.
Exist 2022 BMW models yet?

Depending on when your pre-order was placed and when your car was configured at your preferred BMW Center in the fall of 2021, delivery timelines may vary. Your car will be delivered by June 30, 2022, if you submit your order early and receive early delivery of the iX. How many horsepower is a 2022 BMW M2 equipped with?
There are several considerations to make before the October release of the inexpensive M coupe.
With BMW’s M division turning 50, we are anticipating not only the G87 M2 but also the XM, the company’s first M-powered SUV. Additionally, the M3 Touring, a wagon powered by an M, will be added to the lineup later in June 2022. So, while we wait impatiently for the full-fat M2, BMW tempted us with a plethora of disguised images of the prototype around the 2.6-mile Austrian racetrack Salzburgring. They have also made a lot of the future M2’s specifications public, which we will go into great detail about.
The M2’s exterior will look a lot like the M2 light, or the M240i that debuted in 2021, with a lot of aggressive bodywork taken from the M3 and M4. This is fantastic news because it means that the M2 won’t have the odd-looking enormous kidney grilles that its elder brothers have, but it will have a wider intake grille, side vents, and a front bumper spoiler instead. The prototype also reveals that the M2’s body will be bigger and sportier-looking than the M240i’s present design. Dirk Hacker, the engineering vice president of the M division, has stated that the 2023 M2 would have larger dimensions than the M2 lite.
The forthcoming M2 will use the same S58 engine as the M3 and M4. However, compared to the current M2, the 3.0 liter twin-turbo straight-six will have more power and torque. As a result, we may anticipate an output of roughly 420 horsepower with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed DCT as a transmission choice. But there’s a problem. The forthcoming M2 will only be available with rear-wheel drive, unlike the M3 and M4, which may be be equipped with the xDrive AWD system. Additionally, as seen in the teased photographs, the M3 and M4’s brakes and 19-inch wheels are used. BMW will not, however, offer the coupe with optional carbon-ceramic brakes.
Next to be noted are the interior features. First M performance coupe with curved displays and contemporary graphics will be the new M2. So, exactly like the new 3 Series, there will be a 12.3-inch driver information display and a 14.9-inch infotainment display. The dashboard design is also seen in the prototype, and we like it. After the M2 is out, BMW will likely upgrade the M3 and M4 with minor cabin changes, especially to the dashboard. As for the seats, the new M2’s cabin will be equipped with the M Sport seats as standard, just like its older brothers, but M carbon seats will also be an option.
We believe that the new BMW M2 will be a huge success, not just because of its better driveability on both the road and the track, but also because of its more potent performance. Is this the best M2 of all time then? Tell us in the comments section below.
