Overview
A tiny crossover with a quart-sized interior is the 2023 Hyundai Venue. The Venue has a ton of driving assistance features as well as great entertainment features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, despite lacking certain desirable optional features like all-wheel drive. A 121-hp four-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive, and a continuously variable automatic transmission are standard on all Venues (CVT). This engine is not strong enough to pass on a highway, but it is ideal for zipping around town. Despite its flaws, the Venue’s relatively affordable starting price and roomy cabin make it a desirable choice for customers on a tight budget.
The Hyundai Venue Is A Pleasant Place To Stay
I questioned the purpose of Hyundai’s decision to create the Venue as a more compact crossover to sit below the already diminutive Kona. Were Korean micro cars really necessary? This, as Hyundai works to set itself apart with the supremely opulent Palisade, the mid-size Santa Fe, and the small Tucson? The 2020 Venue is a wonderful place to live, so apparently some of that higher-end brilliance has seeped to the bottom.
It’s a rolling box, but it resembles a chic small blue Tiffany box rather than a standard brown box from Amazon. Starting with a mesh grille similar to the one on the larger Santa Fe, it has a crisp appearance thanks to LED headlamps, squinty driving lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and LED taillamps. A roof of a different hue and rails made of satin silver add style. It appears urban-chic but is not delicate. It almost has a puggle-like cuteness to it.
The tiny boat has a wide interior that comfortably fits four people and their belongings; with fewer people on board and the back seats folded forward, it can accommodate more. The interior is largely made of hard plastic, but it all has a nice appearance and is complemented by satin silver finishes on the door handles and the areas surrounding the air vents. Kid slobber is easily wipeable. A steering wheel covered in leather adds a touch of extravagance. Canvas-covered seats include cool-while-stripe stitching on the fronts and heated seats on the backs. They were helpful throughout a five-hour Interstate drive.
Our car was equipped with automatic climate control, a power sunroof, push-button ignition, and navigation in the SEL level. Multiple USB ports, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are used to connect devices. Drivers have an auto-up window to more easily speed away from drive-ups and tollbooths, unlike another famous crossover I recently tested. Our Venue has a forward collision avoidance system with pedestrian identification, blind spot warning, rear cross path detection, lane keep assist, and a rearview camera since safety was given first priority.
Even if the Venue has enough power to travel quickly through the city and maintain its speed on the interstate, I would never attempt to drag race my grandmother. A continuously variable automatic transmission connects the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine under the short hood to the front wheels, where it produces 121 horsepower and 113 lb.-ft of torque. It is possible to switch between Normal driving (which gets the best MPGs), Sport (which has a more responsive throttle), and Snow (enhanced traction). It doesn’t summon greater power in any mode, but Sport does have a little more energy. The fuel efficiency rating is 30/34 MPG city/highway.
Engineers built the Venue a nimble little chassis that is delightful to throw, making driving through the twisties surprisingly more enjoyable. The independent front and torsion beam rear suspension are not particularly complex, but the combination of rapid steering and a small wheelbase makes for some enjoyable driving. Four-wheel disc brakes reliably stop vehicles. Even better, nothing squeaks, creaks, or rattles while driving over uneven pavement since the automobile feels solidly fastened together. My sense is that the Venue was designed to be reasonably priced, but never to point this out to the driver.
Despite initial concerns, Hyundai ended up providing a big, practical, fashionable, and entertaining little rumpus room that will please both first-time car purchasers and those simply searching for a solid daily commuter. It has an affordable pricing, in keeping with Hyundai history. Starting at $17,350, the base models cost only $23,405 when equipped with all the options. The Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Chevy Sonic, and Nissan Kicks are among the rivals.
The Venue, Hyundai’s smallest SUV, is a lot of vehicle in a tiny space.
Price: The 2022 Hyundai Venue costs between $19,000 (SE) and $22,250. (Limited)
What does the Hyundai facility replace?
The Venue Limited, a compact SUV with lofty goals, will take the place of the Denim starting with the 2022 model year.
The early SUVs were large, roomy, and very useful. Customers have however liked the downsizing to crossover SUVs, which combine the practicality and tall seating position of light trucks with the fuel efficiency of compact and midsized automobiles. Numbers speak for themselves; in the previous two years, more than 45% of all cars sold in the US market came from this group. The Rav4 is consistently available, and Toyota is the market leader in its category. Their Korean competitors aren’t far behind, and they offer a wide variety of SUVs with several types of engines, including hybrid, electric, gasoline, and diesel.
The Hyundai Venue Limited, one of the smallest SUVs in the Hyundai lineup, is highlighted in this article. For the 2022 model year, Hyundai announced it as the top-of-the-line vehicle, replacing the Denim. It was touted as a little SUV with huge goals. It has a high ranking in the subcompact SUV market due to its reasonable prices and excellent fuel efficiency. What more information is required before purchasing the 2022 Hyundai Venue Limited? Which Hyundai venue model is best?
When it comes to striking a balance between price and features, the S+ and S(O) trims excel. The S(O) trim allows you the option to get the 1.0-liter turbo petrol with an iMT at the same price while the S+ trim is only offered with the diesel engine.
What distinguishes the Hyundai venue from others?
Three different engines are available for the Venue, ranging from a 1.0 turbo gasoline to a 1.5 turbo diesel. It is a feature-rich vehicle with distinctive features including wireless charging, a sunroof, and a driver rear view monitor.
Will there be a Hyundai venue in 2022?
Prices for the 2022 Hyundai Venue began at Rs 7.53 lakh when it was recently introduced in India. It comes in 16 different variations with three different engine and transmission choices. Here are our top five findings after driving the 2022 Venue in iMT form.
Without sacrificing any of the control that a manual gearbox affords, the iMT (intelligent manual transmission)/clutchless manual has eliminated all the work required to use one. With the generous torque that this 1.0-liter GDi turbo petrol engine provides, there is a lot of power available with just a slight right foot flex. The iMT also features a system that alerts you when you are in a gear that is too high or low for your current pace and hill-start assistance.
For the redesigned Venue, Hyundai has offered a two-tone design in black and Greige (grey and beige). Although it is a light tone and seems airy, it is susceptible to stains and shows obvious dust. Hyundai’s Mobis accessory program now includes a range of color seat covers.
The Hyundai Venue’s steering seemed light and simple to handle while moving at city speeds, especially when performing maneuvers that required switching locks. Even though it handled well at highway speeds, it lacked feel, especially when facing directly ahead. Hyundai has installed a new steering wheel design in the Venue, as an aside.
Hyundai has carved out the back of the front seat in the back and provides a two-step recline for the left rear seat. The top part above the rear has also been hollowed out. This, along with the two-tone upholstery, has created the impression that the cabin is spacious. However, after we have the car for a longer period of time, we will provide you accurate figures.
Hyundai has improved its features game. There are now 40 new features for the Bluelink system, a powered driver’s seat, TPMS, Alexa and Google Assistant in 10 regional languages, wireless charging, a two-step recline in the back seat, and an electric sunroof.
We also drove the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol with the seven-speed DSG in our video evaluation and identified three key features. The cost of this turbo DSG version is Rs. 12.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai).
Has Hyundai ceased production of Venue?
Despite the components scarcity problem being resolved, Hyundai has informed dealers that several Creta and Venue models have been discontinued. Dealers are urged to supply adequate alternatives in case consumers require any of the withdrawn variations.
Hyundai has discontinued 7 variations of the Venue and 2 variants of the Creta, in accordance with the notification provided to dealers. Five of the seven Venue types have 1.0 turbo petrol engines, while two are 1.5 liter diesel engines. The S(O) DCT, SX+ DCT Dual Tone, S(O) IMT, SX(O) IMT, and SX(O) Dual Tone IMT are discontinued versions of the Venue petrol 1.0 L. S(O) and SX(O) Dual Tone are discontinued Venue diesel variations.
In terms of the Creta models that have been withdrawn, one is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter gasoline engine, and the other by a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Creta SX DCT is the former, and Creta SX AT is the latter. The reasoning behind this choice is unclear. The company is probably getting ready to modify its production lines for new variations of the refreshed Creta and Venue, both of which are scheduled for release later in 2022.
