It can be a broken oxygen sensor, a misfiring engine, or just a loose gas cap. It’s not always necessary to stop your car on the side of the road and summon a tow truck when the check engine light comes on. It does imply that you should have the car examined right away.

Why did Toyota produce the Baleno?
As the Maruti Suzuki Baleno luxury hatchback prepares to become the first cross-badged product of the automakers, Suzuki Motor Corp. is likely to supply Toyota Motor Corp. with as many as 25,000 of the vehicles annually, according to two people with direct knowledge of the situation. According to the unnamed sources, Toyota will begin promoting the Baleno through its own dealership network in the first quarter of the upcoming fiscal year.
According to the sources, Suzuki will first provide Toyota’s local division with 20,000 to 25,000 Baleno vehicles annually. The car’s exterior and interior will see some modest alterations, including the front grill, headlamps, and taillamps, which are currently built at Suzuki’s factory in Gujarat.
The first person mentioned above stated that “the decision has already been made by both the headquarters in Japan and the first car to be introduced will be Baleno.” Both companies have already determined on the number of vehicles to be supplied, and the alterations that need to be made have already been approved.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. and Suzuki Suzuki India Ltd. declined to respond when reached for comment.
The Baleno has become a top-selling Maruti Suzuki model since its launch in 2015, with an average monthly sales volume of 15,000 vehicles.
The purchase of the Baleno is the result of a deal that Toyota and Suzuki made in March of this year to sell each other’s cars in India. Toyota would subsequently receive Suzuki’s small sport utility vehicle, the Vitara Brezza. Suzuki would procure the Toyota Corolla vehicle in exchange and market it via Maruti’s dealer network.
Cross-badging as a concept in India hasn’t blown the sales charts out of the water, so Suzuki and Toyota will have a task on their hands.
With vehicles like the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano SUVs, the Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid sedans, among others, the Renault-Nissan Alliance, Volkswagen, and Skoda, adopted a similar strategy.
With the Baleno, Toyota will have a stronger presence in India’s high-volume yet fiercely competitive hatchback market. Once Suzuki begins producing the Baleno there, it will soon be able to utilize the excess capacity at its plant in Karnataka. The Toyota Etios Liva hatchback is now produced in India.
The second person responded, “There won’t be any quality issues because Baleno is a product that is being shipped to other nations including Japan and Toyota nonetheless doesn’t have any substantial investment plans in India till 2020.
In particular, Toyota, which would require a smaller gasoline engine car to meet new company average fuel efficiency criteria, should choose the Baleno, according to Puneet Gupta, associate director at IHS Markit.
Baleno is currently a well-liked product in India, and adding a vehicle like that is anticipated to assist Toyota in gaining market share in an area where they are absent.
Why did Toyota mimic the automobiles of Suzuki?
Urban Cruiser and Glanza are significantly less expensive than comparable Toyota options. Etios and Etios Liva were previously sold in the market, however they are no longer available. Glanza is the company’s entry-level model now that Etios has been retired. The goodwill is another factor contributing to the success of these models, which are actually rebadged Maruti vehicles. Customers have developed a positive opinion of Toyota thanks to vehicles like the Crysta and Fortuner.
Toyota hasn’t introduced a brand-new product into the market in a while. A facelifted version of the Innova Crysta with modest visual changes was just released on the market. Updates to the Innova Crysta include a new front grille, bumper, fog lamp design, and headlamps with LED DRLs. A new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto was also added. Starting at Rs 16.26 lakh ex-showroom and up to Rs 24.33 lakh ex-showroom are the prices for the new Toyota Innova Crysta.
Toyota is also developing an improved version of the Fortuner SUV, which has previously been released in foreign countries. The SUV was repeatedly seen testing on our local roads and is anticipated to hit the market later in the year. The revised version of the Fortuner will also get an updated infotainment screen, grille, bumper, and LED taillights. The Maruti Baleno and Vitara Brezza share an engine and transmission with the Toyota Glanza and Urban Cruiser. They are only offered with a gasoline engine. The Urban Cruiser has a 1.5 liter engine, but the Glanza has a 1.2 liter engine. Glanza’s price ranges from Rs 7.01 lakh, ex-showroom, to Rs 8.96 lakh, ex-showroom. Prices for the Urban Cruiser range from Rs 8.40 lakh to Rs 11.30 lakh, ex-showroom.
Why are the Toyota Glanza and Baleno identical?
But other from the badging and the style of the alloy wheels, both automobiles appear similar from the sides and the back.
The Baleno comes in six colors, compared to the Glanza’s five (all cars come in five colors, but the Baleno gets an additional “luxury beige” hue).
The Baleno’s cabin is black and silver, giving it a sportier appearance. On the other side, the Glanza’s cabin features a tone of beige with matte black and piano black, giving it a more upscale appearance.
While the Glanza receives Toyota’s i-Connect, the Baleno receives the Suzuki Connect (which includes 40 or so linked car capabilities) (with more than 45 connected car features).
Both automobiles share the same basic characteristics and 1197cc petrol engine. Both come with the option of a manual or an AMT (automatic manual transmission), while Maruti Suzuki refers to the latter as an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) and TKM just calls it an AMT. The stated fuel efficiency is 22.35 km/l for manual transmissions and 22.94 km/l for AMT/AGS.
The Glanza costs between Rs 4,000 and Rs 20,000 more each version than the Baleno. One explanation could be because the Glanza has a more upscale appearance and more connectivity functions, and perhaps Toyota’s brand value is stronger as well. The Glanza, however, appears to be a better value despite having a higher starting price because it is being supplied with a standard 3-year/100,000-km warranty, as opposed to the Baleno’s 2-year/40,000-km warranty.
The Baleno has an edge over the Glanza in that it can also be purchased through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe for a monthly subscription cost that starts at Rs 13,999 and goes up (which covers registration, service and maintenance, and insurance and roadside assistance).
The Glanza would be our option if we had to pick between the Baleno and the Glanza and keep the car for at least a few years.

Is Baleno more secure than Glanza?
Glanza is superior to Baleno in terms of body quality, thus I advise buying it since Toyota consistently ranks first in both safety and body quality.
Similar to Baleno, the building quality is good. The only distinction is a Toyota badge.
The back seats lack headrests. Do we still have the warranty if we fix the same thing?
Is Baleno’s clone Glanza?
Thursday saw the unveiling in India of luxury hatchback Glanza, Toyota’s take on Suzuki’s Baleno that it sources from its fellow countryman as part of their partnership.
An introductory pricing for the Glanza has been set between Rs. 7.22 lakh and Rs. 8.9 lakh.
Only two 1.2-liter petrol engine variations with automatic gearbox options are available for the Glanza from Toyota, which is present in India through a joint venture with the Kirloskar group.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki offers four different Baleno versions with automatic transmission options with prices ranging from Rs 5.46 lakh to Rs 8.9 lakh for both petrol and diesel engine options.
Masakazu Yoshimura, the managing director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), commented on the launch by saying, “In a dynamic market like India, it will be our constant endeavor to give a range of options to our consumers whose choices are controlled by their mobility demands and brand expectations.”
TKM offers a guarantee of three years and one lakh kilometers, which can be increased to five years and 2.2 lakh kilometers.
The Glanza has features including touchscreen audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone-based navigation.
Suzuki and Toyota broadened the scope of their collaboration in March of this year, adding the production of the small SUV Vitara Brezza, which Suzuki designed, to Toyota’s plant in India beginning in 2022.
Along with the already agreed-upon deliveries of the premium hatchback Baleno and small SUV Vitara Brezza, the two businesses had also stated that they were considering a practical partnership in new areas. These would include Suzuki supplying Toyota in India with its Ciaz sedan and Ertiga multipurpose vehicle in addition to the already agreed-upon supplies of those vehicles.
In addition to their relationship in India, the two partners also decided to expand their cooperation to Europe and Africa. Suzuki will also provide Toyota with the Baleno, Vitara Brezza, Ciaz, and Ertiga automobiles that are made in India for the African market.
Toyota, on the other side, will give Suzuki access to its hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technology in India by sourcing HEV systems, engines, and batteries there. Toyota will also give Suzuki access to its THS (Toyota Hybrid System) on international markets.
Is a Toyota engine used by Glanza?
There are no surprises in the undercarriage. Suzuki’s K12N petrol engine, a 90 horsepower, 113 Nm, 1.2-liter, four-cylinder unit, powers the Glanza. It is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. a first for Toyota in India, the latter. There is no diesel engine available, and both models have excellent fuel economy ratings. Is Toyota Glanza a Maruti vehicle?
The Glanza, the first vehicle produced under the Toyota-Maruti alliance, will be unveiled on June 6 at Toyota Kirloskar Motor. Prior to that, we had a conversation with a senior Toyota representative who confirmed that the Maruti Suzuki factory will serve as the only manufacturing location for the Toyota Glanza.
Maruti Suzuki now operates two factories in India, one in Gurgaon and the other in Manesar. On the other hand, we are unsure of precisely which plant will produce Glanza. Toyota will only sell the fully assembled cars through their dealerships after obtaining them from Maruti Suzuki.
As part of their international relationship in sharing models, the Glanzaread Baleno is the first vehicle to be shared between the two brands. According to the terms of the agreement, Maruti Suzuki would profit from Toyota’s experience in hybrid technology while Toyota will use Maruti Suzuki-made chassis and powertrains.
Returning to the Glanza, it shares a striking resemblance with its cousin, the Baleno, with the exception of a few facial alterations. The grille has had a small change and now has two horizontal slats in the midst of which is the Toyota logo. Even the designs of the alloys are unchanged. Instead of the Suzuki badge and the Glanza nameplate, a Toyota badge is displayed at the back.
